DeLeon Pizza — Restaurant in Florida

The food was good, but we happened to be there on a busy night with a large family. The family used up a large amount of room in the middle and requested more space, to which the waitress motioned to my group, who hadn't been there 20 min. and just got our food, and said loud enough for us to hear "well, once they leave we'll pull that table on over." As a past server, I understand the need to accommodate guests, especially a large group that is likely to tip well, but that should not be a reason to pressure guests out the door. She didn't even ask if we wanted dessert, just came by midway through our meal and asked if we were done, brought boxes, and even took the food and boxed it for us to when we were taking a moment to fit it all. While normally that would be hospitable, she was practically pulling the food from our plates trying to force us out. I do really Love this place. They are way more affordable and normally just as good as any other pizza, Italian restaurant. I've been eating at De Leon since they were in the old mall in the early 90's. I know Frank, and I know he makes good food. However, I recently ordered food Saturday night about 8:30pm. for pickup. I ordered lasagna, stuffed shells,and a cheese steak sub. When I got home, I didn't immediately eat. I waited until around 9:30 and as soon as I took my 1st bite I was shocked at how salty it was. I continued to try to eat it. However, it was extremely salty. The stuffed shells were fine. I'm unsure of what happened it tasted like someone just dumped an outrageous amount of garlic salt on it. My family and I walked in, the place was only 1/3 full. I asked if we just sit ourselves and the waitress said yes. So we sat and sat and sat. Waiting for over 10 minutes before I said Can we get some service over here, we’ve been waiting 10 minutes already. The waitress quickly apologized and said they were short staffed even though they had 2 waitresses and were training another. She brought our drinks over but then another waitress came over to take our order. She very rudely said What do you want? with a very rude look on her face. We ordered and I said thank you and she just walked away like it was our fault. When she brought our salads she practically threw them on the table. She brought the check and she never returned to pick up our card. We left cash and saw her and the other waitresses sitting like they had nothing better to do. Talk about horrible service. And the pizza is mediocre to say the least. Won’t be coming back...
