Great climbing gym with even greater service.
I brought my family and specifically wanted my kids to have some fun being exposed to rock climbing for the first time, this place was perfect. Not only do they have a very clean and new facility, but the kids section was perfect for building confidence all on their own! Then I took my oldest son (6yo) down to the bigger bouldering section, he did so great!
Meanwhile, the entire time Zach not only was helping other guests, but he was so encouraging and willing to help us feel welcomed and enjoyed. After some training, my son did top rope and made it all the way to the top!!! I was so proud of him and he LOVED it!! I think we might have a new adventure hobby for him!!!
I am an entrepreneur and I always hold a high standard and value for people who serve with excellence, Zach is absolutely someone who exceeds those standards. If I had business in St. Augustine, I’d be trying to hire him away, people who serve well are rare and worth having and keeping.
Thank you Stone for having...
Read moreThis was my first climbing experience ever. I was excited… but mostly intimidated and scared… BUT I loved this place! The whole staff was so friendly and approachable! Place is clean and has a variety of each level that is easy to navigate and understand. Not to mention the overall crowd- kids (better than you’d think), adults, and everyone in between interacting incredibly well. Seems the community of climbers here are all helpful and courteous to one another. Just real laid back people and a fun experience! I can see it being cool to just do one day or get into it as invested as possible. It was nice (as a newer mom who never gets out and has def never climbed) to go have fun and interact with all of these people and have a little self paced physical challenge! I was really able to pick up on the way things work quick. With little technique and movement tips from other climbers- I was able to actually do way more than I expected! Love how the climbing etiquette works, the nice employees, and crowd this place draws- it’s...
Read moreI visited this gym one week after it opened, and I'd say it's fantastic in every way. There is a huge bouldering area, with limited slab but tons of overhang including a large cave. The top rope routes are limited but include grades from 5.8 to 5.11b. The lead only routes are very nice, up to 5.13b, again limited in quantity. Overall the route setting and modern holds make a five star experience There is a children's area of color coded boulders, very good route setting for the kids. They have a few treadmills, weights and stair machines as well as a variety of hangboards. There is a cafe on the premises. They sell basic gear. A day pass is $18. They have good quality rental gear. The staff is really friendly and they do not "hover" checking peoples gear and stuff. They are a super cool bunch happy to help out or leave you alone. Overall I'm impressed with how much of a punch this relatively small gym packs. I wish them good luck on this amazing new...
