After finishing my work shift for the day, I was recommended this place after I did some searching of local restaurants that were nearby my workplace. Once I stopped in and walked inside, I was greeted instantly by the staff with a, “Hi! Welcome in! We’ll be right with you!” It’s nice to be acknowledged when walking into a restaurant.

Before I got here, I had looked up their menu, so I knew what I wanted the moment my server was asking me about what drink I was going to get. I had selected the Italian Submarine, which had salami, pepperoni, lettuce, tomatoes, and much more! I also asked for Mozzarella Sticks and the sauce that came with it was hot, which doesn’t happen normally unless you tell them in advance. As for the sandwich, it normally comes cold, but I asked for it to be prepared a little warm, but not toasted. Sure enough, when it came to the table, it was just how I wanted it to be.

Overall, the experience was pretty darn great, I must say. Even though the place wasn’t as crowded when I was eating there, it was probably due to the fact that they were closing soon, which is at 4 pm and I came around 3:25 pm - 3:30pm. I’m sure this place is bustling with people around breakfast/lunch hour.

Try this place if you’re in the area! You won’t be disappointed! Also, there’s plenty of places to park, so...

From the born and raised locals :-)

Stepping into 'The Wheel,' you're instantly transported back in time, to a place where flavors and memories intertwine to rekindle the warmth of childhood dreams and the cherished moments of early love. This locally owned gem, born from the legacy of the original 'cheese wheel,' holds the magic of yesteryear within its walls and dishes.

The moment I tasted their famous Ryder, it was as if no time had passed since the '90s. The familiar, comforting, and utterly delicious taste brought back a flood of memories, making the experience not just about savoring a sandwich, but about revisiting cherished moments of my life.

'The Wheel' isn't just a sandwich shop; it's a doorway to the past and a testament to the loving hands and hearts of the family that runs it. Every bite of their Ryder felt like a homecoming, a celebration of history and flavor, lovingly preserved and served with the kind of passion that only a family legacy can inspire.

To the wonderful family behind 'The Wheel,' thank you for keeping the spirit, taste, and hospitality of the original 'cheese wheel' alive. Your dedication to quality and tradition has not only filled our bellies but touched our hearts. Here's to more memorable moments and delightful bites at...

The Wheel is absolutely delicious and the staff is extremely friendly. I have been inside twice and have been greeted both times upon entering which to me goes a long way, you just feel welcome and comfortable immediately. I order takeout often and I get the ham and cheese Ryder which is consistently so good. I love that their lettuce is very finely shredded (just a preference). The house dressing that they use is delicious. It’s basically an Italian dressing but it must be homemade because it’s special for sure. I also love their mozzarella sticks, probably the best in town. Extremely cheesy. When I rave about this place people who have never been will sometimes say that it’s just a basic sandwich shop. And to that I would say I guess technically you are not wrong but please try it first! Very very yummy. The only places I will buy a sandwich from rather than make my own is The Wheel or a pub sub! And the prices are comparable. Please try it :)

One constructive criticism piece: my friend who has a young daughter wishes there was a kid menu for the picky little ones. I think the old cheese wheel offered a peanut butter and jelly which wouldn’t...

I wanted to like this place because the workers were so friendly and it was packed at lunchtime on a tuesday. We ordered the Ryder, New Yorker, and Tuna Ryder as well as their mushroom bites appetizer. The sandwiches were just okay; they were pretty plain. The appetizer was very good but we got a very small portion of mushrooms for $8, maybe 8 mushrooms in total. Their homemade dressing was good but it was an oil and vinegar base which made the sandwiches soggy. The size of the sandwiches was also surprisingly small. I provided a photo so you can see in comparison to a ranch sauce cup container. The customer service was excellent, everyone was polite and kind, but the atmosphere was giving grocery store deli waiting area. There was also no wifi (on purpose because they want people to talk to each other). Overall it was okay but for $10 per sandwich I just expected more.

I was a little confused when I walked up to order to go since there's a sign saying to sit down and we'll be with you but at the small counter there's no menu on the wall so I had to ask for something to look at because they just assumed I knew what I wanted. So I order the Ryder and let's just be honest here. This sandwich is just deli meat in a pita with shredded lettuce. Nothing special at all .. total plain Jane made from Publix items. I mean, it was fresh and I was really hungry but I don't think I'll go back for something I can easily make at home. The pickle that was supplied was not that good. Took one bite and total rubber. Not very appealing either to see a leaky sandwich bag with this thing in your sandwich. Frankly, it's a waste of money and plastic but either way, I don't think I can recommend this spot. Sorry, just my opinion and experience.
