Literally the worst restaurant I've experienced since moving to the area.
Our waitress spoke to us a grand total of two times. It was dead inside besides a few other tables. After 30 minutes of waiting, we asked a passing waitress nicely if we could have our order taken. She replied with "I'll come over when I refill this coffee. Hold on." in a rude manner. Five minutes after refilling the other table's coffee, she came over and said "Okay, what do you want?"
After giving our order, we waited another 40 minutes for our food. In the meantime, a few more regulars came in and were served their orders within 10 minutes.
Upon receiving the food, we did not receive silverware for another 7 minutes, nor any refills on our drinks.
The actual food itself was overpriced for the quality. Everything tasted like it came from a can or was frozen. The eggs had a rubbery texture, the gravy was bland, and the biscuits we're obviously not "home made" as it said multiple times on the menu. I asked for well-done hash browns and they were the complete opposite of crispy.
Afterwards, we waited another 30 minutes for our check to be brought to our table. We asked for it to be split into two checks, which did not happen. It was $40 for 3 people and the worst food/service I've ever received.
All in all, if you want to waste 90 minutes of your time on rude, inattentive service and bland, frozen food, come here. If you're not a regular, don't waste your time or money.
Side note: Despite a reply from the owner on another review. There were still waitresses not wearing masks or had them down...
Read moreIf I could leave negetive stars, I would! We went for breakfast, and when served, it was the most unappetizing table of breakfast food that I have ever seen. Just gross. The omlette was so dry, and the cheese inside was not melted, you could literally see that it was still a square piece of cheese, the gravy was thick and nasty, the "hollandaise sauce" was thick and nasty and tasted nothing like hollandaise sauce, it was neon yellow?! the toast was cold, served with cold butter (you butter it yourself). The food was not seasoned, the "homefries" were chopped potatoes thrown in a deepfryer and literally filled with grease. I could go in with how gross the food was, but why?! I had to use the bathroom while there, I walked in and walked out, I couldn't bring myself to use it. It was absolutely disgusting.. I have seen cleaner bathrooms after last call on a Saturday night in a college town hole in the wall bar. Walking to the bathroom caused me to pass the kitchen, that was a mistake it was almost as bad as the bathroom. The tables were sticky and gross. I let our waitress know our thoughts on the food, and she made a joke about how "it sucks when your food comes out like that" and laughed. I dont know how they have returning customers. I can not imagine that this establishment is up to code. There are so many more gross observations that were made while waiting 40 minutes for our less than subpar food, I truly think the health dept needs to make a random stop, if not shut down this establishment completely. I would not recommend this place to my...
Read moreWe had never been to the Egg Station before. We originally were going to try Joshua's Kitchen across the street, but it was closed due to maintenance. So...we tried the Egg Station. It will be the only time we try the Egg Station. We had to find our own table, it took about 10 minutes for someone to come over to take a drink order. The table had no menus. After waiting 10 minutes, we got up and grabbed our own menu. About 10 minutes later, a waitress finally came over to clear off the previous dishes from the prior party. Once we got our drinks, we ordered. After about 45 minutes for a simple breakfast order to arrive, the food was mostly cold, very bland and everything tasked like it came from an elementary school cafeteria. I could overhear the waitress around us constantly apologizing to other tables for either the delay in their orders, an incorrect order, something missing from their order, etc etc. I don't think I've ever heard more "sorry's" over an hour's time at a restaurant...ever! After expressing disappointment for both our meals, the waitress did apologize. However, a manager never bothered to come over and the waitress didn't even offer to reduce the bill for the poor service and food. The restaurant wasn't even that busy either. I would highly NOT recommend visiting this Egg Station. As a small business owner who takes pride in customer service and overall experience, I expect the same from any business I visit. This was an unfortunate visit. Hopefully it's not like...
