El Rodeo Tequila Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Florida

I ordered at 8 pm. I’m stating the time because maybe this makes a difference in quality of food…. Depending on who is working and whether the food is old? I don’t know.

The beans and rice were very dry. The beans had some cheddar cheese mix on top. My burrito meat had an odd flavor but the guacamole and lettuce mix was good.

My boyfriends taco was just average. The shell wasn’t very fresh and same old tasting meat.

I usually think that all Mexican food in America is equal in that none of it tastes traditional but it’s all usually good and five star worthy— EL Rodeo is the first restaurant I’ve disliked.

I’ve eaten At Guadalajara’s, Los Rancheros, Sombreros and many more in PC and even El Charro in Tucson AZ! I’m giving El Rodeo 1 to 3 stars at best and I’ve never found a restaurant I disliked.

On a positive note though, their salsa was good! & if they moistened their rice and beans at 8 p.m and changed the flavor of their beef— it would be 5 stars like every other Mexican restaurant in the area.— assuming your just looking for Americanized Mexican food. If you want to know the decency of a restaurant order the molè ! If the mole is good, the restaurant is good!

I think maybe it was just a bad night? It was the night after Thanksgiving. Maybe they were just all ready to go home. I will try to eat here one more time and update the review if...

Worst ever expeience. I dont mean that with just food service, this place is awful. Greeted by people who barely said a word, and looked at us like we were demons. Our server who told me i wasnt aloud to even order drinks sat us said nothing, walked away. We ordered our food which the waittress and the menu do not know the differenece between shredded beef and ground beef. We asked for extra napkins she gave us 3 for 4 people. I asked about the beverage jarritos and thats when our table realized we were not welcome one bit. They had 6 flavors and we asked if we could try them all and our waittresses reply? "NO". "Im sorry?" She says again. "NO" no explanation and she left our table while saying it. When she returned i asked for the check. She said "let me get my managaer". Wtf is that i want my bill and to leave. So the only person there that could have a real conversation us came to talk to us. We said we want our check and to leave. She inquired about why so we explainedthat the atmosphere was very uncomfortable. She fake smiled got our jarritos and got us out quick. Never apologized for the service as if its common there and we should accept that. I paid my bill. Had to edit this review because i forgot to mention we felt unsafe. UNSAFE. Shady people hanging around there...

It was a party of 4 of us between 830-9pm on a saturday night. They were not busy and hardly had anyone inside. I ordered the empanadas and they were disgusting (and i LOVE empanadas)- excess amount of oil dripping off of them, they had a weird color, the beef tasted old and I could not finish eating them. My sister got chicken and beef fajita nachos - the chicken tasted like rubber, like it had been sitting in the kitchen all day. The only good thing about the nachos was the cheese 🧀. The good part of the meal is when we got fresh guacamole made at our table and salsa. Our server kept speaking really low so we could barely hear him, when we told him about my empanadas and her nachos, he didn't seem to care. I will say he did comp my empanadas off the bill but this was our last night there on vacation and it was an overall terrible experience. If I had been thinking about it in the moment, I would have posted pictures but I didn't take any. I only want to post positive reviews at restaurants but this was was so bad that I had to post...
