I’ve had a bad experience with this donut shop two times in a row back to back in two weeks. The first time I placed an $50+ all vegan order (which we are very grateful they even offer) and made sure to make that extremely clear in the instructions so there would be no chance of a mixup. When they arrived in two boxes, one box with half of the donuts were vegan the other box with the other half were not vegan with a note written on the top saying they ran out vegan donuts. The problem with that is whoever was working the counter apparently isn’t trained enough in allergens safety to understand that we cannot eat something if it’s not vegan. Not only that but it’s extremely dangerous to not know that information because we have an allergy and had a box full of something someone is severely allergic to show up here. I decided to give them another shot this morning when I ordered 12 donuts that cost me over $50, they showed up this time all 12 donuts in one box stacked on top of each other smashed down. I paid extra for their nice “fancy” donuts and for them to arrive that way, smashed all over the inside of the box half of them don’t even look like donuts anymore. It’s completely unacceptable. And yeah quite possibly you could say that happened in the delivery, even though the outside of the box was completely fine in good condition, but that’s neither here nor there, they should have been placed in two separate boxes, we paid a lot of money for these advertised “fancy” donuts. They could’ve sprung for a second box because stacking them on top of each other either way is going to ruin the bottom ones. Just a complete disaster with half of them too embarrassing looking to pass out. It’s just very disappointing and I’ve decided there’s not much thought put into customers experience / allergen safety if it’s business they get online, so I will not be shopping there anymore. Vegans be cautious. Editing to add some of the review responses from the shop are very tacky and as a business owner myself, the business I tried to order nice donuts for to hand out but came smashed, personally I would remove those. You’re taking away from someone’s personal experience by arguing their personal opinion when you should just take the criticism and do better. Holding businesses accountable publicly is how things get changed. Stop shaming people for utilizing that option. It’s absolutely not...
Read moreTraveling from out of state, stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon after visiting my mom at the hospital. Was hoping to get some donuts to brighten up my family's day. The young girl helping us was not friendly at all. Never greeted us or said thank you or have a nice day. There weren't any prices listed either that I saw for the donuts. I couldn't believe the price of $25 for half a dozen. The apple fritter was on the darker side but we were still hopeful until tasting it we confirmed it was burnt. None of the donuts tasted fresh. All of them tasted similar to Dunkin donuts just a little more decorated. How could a company over fry a donut and still sell it knowing they are charging so much for their product. I'll continue to go to Gold Star from now on when I come to visit. DISAPPOINTED in everything about...
Read moreThis is a pre review. I just want to thank the owners for providing a donut shop in the Bradenton area during these trying times. Some of the reviews I’ve read are just plain silly, like I gave you one star because someone cut in front of me as if the business owner has control over that and somebody giving a negative review because the frosting on the donut was too thick…again, what’s too thick for one customer is not enough for another one. You’ll never please everyone and this is not worthy of a negative review. All I know is the the donuts in the pictures I see look delicious, and in this day and age I expect to pay more so I look forward to my first visit into Five-O donuts and I hope customers will be a little more sensitive in their reviews of this establishment. All the best to you Five-O, keep turning out...
