The food my guest and I received in a was absolutely delightful, bursting with flavor and incredibly tender. My daughter's meal was ok. However, I do have a complaint regarding the excessive wait time especially one of the orders. As someone who has frequented numerous made-to-order establishments, I understand and appreciate the importance of patience. Nevertheless, our meal was a bit of a wait, but it took an astonishing 47 minutes for my daughter's order of grilled jerk shrimp skewers to arrive. Upon our arrival, many of the items we initially requested were unavailable due to a catering order they had. Consequently, we settled for what was available and could be prepared relatively quickly according to their suggestion. I believe waiting 47 minutes for a dish like jerk shrimp is simply unacceptable. In my opinion, after 25 minutes had passed, the option for a refund should have been offered. By the time the shrimp finally made its appearance, my daughter had already finished her fries, which we had ordered after the shrimp. Both my guest and I had also completed our meals. The disappointing part, however, was that when the shrimp did arrive, it was rather ordinary. I could see the disappointment on my daughter's face as she ate just one shrimp and packed the rest to take back to church. The only reason we endured the wait was because the host kept us informed and apologized for the delay. Unfortunately, this pattern of waiting continued for an additional 15 minutes on three separate occasions. Honestly, I believe the appropriate response from the host should have been, "I'm deeply sorry that the shrimp took 47 minutes to arrive. Can I offer you a complimentary dessert or perhaps waive the cost of the fries, since they were ordered separately?" I didn't want to be that customer who complains in order to receive freebies, but I do feel it was the responsibility of the establishment to make such an offer. We spent our entire break waiting for just five or six shrimp.
To reiterate, the food we did eventually receive was tasty, and the host was pleasant. However, the prolonged wait time was entirely...
Read morePlaced an online order waited an extensive amount of time and didn’t offer anything for poor service and still didn’t have what I ordered.
To reply: The order was accepted by the store, if it wasn’t available it should not have been accepted in my opinion. There wasn’t even an apology in my opinion, just that you’re short staffed and that’s why your hours changed. Additionally, you called to let me know about the chicken but the cashier started with telling me they didn’t have enough Pattie’s which is what really added to my frustration. I placed the other around 4:36pm got there after 5pm around the time requested and watched people come in without orders place get Patties while I waited, then to be told you didn’t have enough. Luckily, the smart young lady had taken my patties and put them aside but the other lady either didn’t ask or didn’t look so think about the entire picture, because the call was not made about the entire order just a part. Kids mute calls all the time and he was just hungry and we were on the way there so I gave the phone to assist with a distraction. I had another phone with the same email connected and checked the email, the other could have been denied or updated if it wasn’t available and there was no answer. I also asked to just give a refund because I waited over 30 mins and she kept stalling until it was done. So, yea these reviews can be detrimental but you should also consider the entire picture and have better customer service around these situations. I also did not receive “three free Patties” lol! Your company sent an email asking to order online again with a 15% off coupon not a free pattie coupon so please don’t try to make it seem like something was already given free so your level of service should be subpar. That darn right disrespectful when your company sent the coupon to return...

Customer service was excellent from the time they took my order to the time I picked it up. My only minor gripe would be it'd be nice to get a few more plantains with the order (2 came with each entree), but we're going through a pandemic right now, so I'm not going to sweat it. The servings of cabbage, white rice, and rice & peas filled the to-go boxes to the brim, so that kinda made up for it.
Original Review: Food was good, but the DoorDash menu needs to be clarified. The restaurant website menu states that two sides come with every entree (plantains or steamed cabbage and then your choice of other various sides). On DoorDash, they only let you pick the additional side (I picked rice & peas). On my order, DoorDash called me and notified me that plantains were not available, so they asked what an acceptable substitution would be (I chose fries). What they ended up doing was replacing my rice & peas with fries.
There's a side of oxtail option that is $4 cheaper than the entree. If I had known I would only get one side, I'd have just ordered a side order of oxtail and a side of fries.
Also, the place was so busy, that both of my phone call attempts went straight to voicemail, forcing me to use DoorDash to get an order in. Without direct contact with the restaurant, I had a feeling this was going to get screwed up.
This isn't the restaurant's fault, but another tip I have is to tell your delivery driver to be careful delivering oxtail. The sauce/gravy is likely to spill everywhere inside the bag. It Jamaican...
