Granger & Sons Barbecue — Restaurant in Florida

Simply the BEST barbecue I've ever had. I'm a native Floridian and have tried many barbecue restaurants over the years this one beats them all, the competition doesn't hold a candle to Granger's. After hearing my teenage son rave about "the best steak he'd ever eaten in his life" I had to give it a try. I work at Bio-Tech Pest Control just a few blocks away and decided to order lunch to-go. I tried the pork sandwich, which there was enough meat on it for 3 sandwiches, potato salad, beans, coleslaw, and a steak kabob (I couldn't resist trying the steak after my son's excitement). Their menu is small but I guess that's a blessing in disguise because EVERYTHING I tried was PERFECTION! The steak was the BEST steak I'd ever had as well, all of the sides were FRESH and DELICIOUS. I actually stopped in the middle of my meal to phone the owner and tell the chef what an AWESOME meal it was. I have never given a review to anyone (don't have time for such things), but had to make time to PRAISE this restaurant. I'm also VERY picky about my sauce and their's was perfect!! You said: "Food was very good but made us feel out of place. When we walked in the Guy at counter said all they had left was sandwitches he said no side items were left. So we decided to stayed anyways and ate the pork sandwich which were very good while we were eating 2 more customers came in behind us and load and behold they had sides for them not only 1 Customer but for both of them. All I can say is you must treat all your customers with respect and dignity you never know who will walk in this Could have been a great experience instead we felt like they didn't...

What a fun spot! The moment you walk in, you head right to the kitchen to place your order, and before you know it, your food is ready in just moments.

I tried the 2 meat plate with ribs and beef. The portions were generous, though I did find the beef a bit on the dry side. The BBQ sauce was tasty, but my wife wasn’t quite sold on it.

She ordered the small ribs plate, and those were a hit! Super tender and juicy, definitely the way to go.

We both loved the baked beans; they had this unique taste with either honey or maple syrup in the secret sauce, so original! The coleslaw was also pretty good. Oh, and there’s plenty of sweet tea, unsweet tea, and soda to choose from!

Prices are around $20 per person, which seems quite reasonable. Just a heads up, seating can get a little tight on busy days, but it’s absolutely worth the visit.
