During our trip my girlfriend and I had taken two stops at this restaurant . Our first experience was overall phenomenal. We had ordered our ice cream and my girlfriends cone broke. I went and asked for a replacement and the lady working there had not only understood and replaced our cone but did so with a smile.
Sadly our second experience didnât have a similar outcome. We went with her family and the place was pretty busy so when they messed up one scoop of the two on my girlfriends order. I understood they may have been stressed or bogged down so we asked the lady there to fix our order and instead of fixing it though she told my girlfriend that she didnât make a mistake and my girlfriend corrected her showing the flavor that she wanted which was next to the flavor that my girlfriend got. Once the worker had realized that, instead of fixing the order she gave us a little bowl with the right ice cream and left us with a melted mix of the wrong scoop and right one. Once we asked if she would be able to just fix it in a cone with the right ice cream scoops we wanted she said we couldnât do that and would have to buy an entirely new ice cream in order to get the right order.
I understand that this review is more of a personal problem with one employee than an overall reflection of the restaurant , but this experience definitely left a sour taste in our mouths and really ruined our mood...
Read moreFor today's adventure, we stopped at Hershey's Ice Cream! The ice cream was delicious, the service not so great.
When we walked into the shop at around 1:00 pm, we weren't greeted, and all of the lights in the place were turned off! There was only one small table with 2 chairs inside (which were clearly already seated with a small family). So we couldn't see, and there was nowhere to sit. Because of this, we headed back out into the heat and onto the deck area, again, no chairs, no tables, no umbrellas. The kids were kinda miserable cooking in the sun, and the ice cream wasn't much happier! That stuff melted so fast they could barely get it in their mouths before it was running all over the place. They did thankfully have ONE "No Sugar Added" flavor so I could enjoy a scoop! $15.00 later, all three of us had one scoop of ice cream. This wouldn't have been so terrible had we been able to sit down somewhere in the shade and enjoy our cool treats a little more.
Most likely won't return unless they improve their seating issue. Dave's Sno-Balls down the road has better seating, places to sit in the shade, more flavor choices, and games for the kids. (PLUS, it's WAY cheaper and the service is better.) Try your Sno-ball with Ice Cream or...
Read moreIce cream was pretty good. This was our first time since we are on vacation. Customer service was terrible. The people in front of us tried conversing, and she ignored them. My kids and I ordered, my husband came up to order, he told her the scoops and ice cream, and we talked about which toppings. He then told her, she threw the ice cream back in the bin, and rudely threw the cup in the trash while shaking her head. At the register, I politely asked if there was a problem with the topping. She stated we were supposed to tell her before so she could get the right cup. I told her we didn't know, as this was our first visit. She just walked off. We won't be going back...
