I have been living in Central Florida since 1997. I started going to Houligans in 1998. I have attended Christmas parties, lunches and dinners with the family and also just my husband and myself enjoying a meal together. In the last few years I have been working nearby one of their establishments and have been going at least two or three times a week. The food is good but there are never any specials or many changes to their menu over all this time. I realize that they are successful enough that they really don’t care one way or another what their customers want but that is what has me going there much less than I used to go for lunch. When you regularly patronize an establishment and spend a decent amount of money in said establishment and then they change their spirits options without paying attention to what their customers want and they never offer any specials it makes me realize that I don’t need them anymore than they need me. They don’t really care what I want. I have gone from going there 2-3 times a week at lunch to 1 or sometimes 0 visits each week. If you don’t consider your customers in your decisions then you just might lose them. Overall I realize I don’t matter to them as a customer because I am just one person but I can at least post this message to let others know the truth. I realize it won’t matter to Houligans but it...
Read moreThis place is outstanding. The Wally wings is a combination that many Grilling enthusiasts have done for years. They fry them, dip them in the sauce and then grill them. It takes the wings to a whole new level. The wings they use are huge and meaty and always cooked to perfection. I enjoy the Hot sauce which has a great flavor. Why wife is partial to the Sweet Chili or Teriyaki sauces.
I am partial to blue cheese on my wings, but their homemade ranch is the best I have ever had. You can honestly dip anything in that ranch and make it better.
We are also fans of fried pickles. The batter they use is great. You can eat them straight and they are good. Dipping in that ranch makes them out of this world. Tip ask for an extra Ranch you will want it and need it.
The food is good enough to get you you there. The atmosphere is just as good. There are TVs everywhere including at your table. Drinks are great, service is good. Seriously what else can you ask for. I am unfortunately not local to this place but we are in the area enough to stop in.
This place is so good I came here for a birthday dinner...
Read moreMy wife and I went in here for an early dinner, we ordered the sampler platter which came with a variety of fried foods the potato skins were very good the chicken wings were baked ,I prefer fried but they were still good, the chicken tenders were not very good kind a like the flying J chicken tenders, very average mozzarella sticks (Arby’s are better)and just your average onion rings as well.. I ordered the fried shrimp they gave me 8 shrimp, they were good but I think the portion could’ve been a little bigger I got french fries and I upgraded to the French onion soup ,which I think could use a little more flavor. The salad was very good & the dressing was homemade. My wife ordered the French dip and the meat was tender. The au jus sauce could’ve probably been a little hotter & we’ve had better French dips. So overall the staff was very friendly, the place is very clean, but for an Irish pub & grill you’d expect to be wowed with the French onion soup and the French dip, but this was just average and it was kind of pricey. I think the mashed potatoes are...
