I have dealt with Mr Appliance on my refrigerator several times. They have come and always need to order parts and reschedule for installation. My concern was that they always seem to be guessing at what the problem was instead of doing a diagnostic to know what the real issue was. Since it was under warantee, it didnt seem to be a big deal because all of this nonsence was covered. Now to after the warantee and most recent experience, they came out and said that we need a new board that was $321. So we said change it, they did that and still did not work. They failed to realize that 21 months ago they changed that same board. Now they call and said that in addition to the board being bad, we now need a compressor, to the tune of $800. Instead of on the first visit saying that it is one of two problems. If it is not the board we will put the old board back in and change the compressor instead. They look professional ,but I dont think that they are real mechanics just parts changers. Now I will wait for the GM to call me back because we want to get our $321 back and have them put the old board back in which apparently was not the problem. This way we can go elsewhere to get a real mechanic to diagnose the problem. If I knew it was going to be $1300, I would have just replace the...

Right away, I was told the only thing they could quote was a $129 service fee, which would be waived if I went through with the repair. But if I declined, I’d still owe the $129.
When the tech arrived, the very first thing he said after seeing the Samsung washer was that most people decline because Samsung is very expensive to fix. Sure enough, the quote came back over $850 before tax. Of course, I declined.
Here’s the problem: it took longer to run my credit card (which even had an extra fee that I wasn’t warned about) than it did for the tech to diagnose. The company knew upfront that repairs for Samsung are usually as much as a new washer—yet they didn’t disclose that when I called. Instead, they lock you in so they’re guaranteed $129 no matter what.
If they cared about customers, they’d be honest before sending someone out. Now I understand why another vendor told me they don’t even service Samsung—it avoids exactly this kind of situation.
In other words, this feels like...
