I visited India’s Grill for the first time with my niece to celebrate her birthday. It looks small from the outside parking lot, yet it is very spacious on the inside.
It was a rainy day so there weren’t many of us dining. The ambiance was serene. Rosy the host is phenomenal and an excellent mixologist. Music accompanied by the low toned voices of each guests made for a wonderful dining experience.
We were timely served our drinks and fresh appetizers. In appreciation of our anticipation, the entree was presented with polite and warm respect.
It was a meal worth waiting for, the Chef took their time and when food is prepared with love it feeds the soul, and ours was full. I ordered my favorite dish, which is Bhindi Masala, Garlic Naan, along with Chai Tea. My niece had the coconut curry shrimp and a drink from the bar; and of course we shared a delicious dessert to celebrate her birthday.
What I love about India’s Grill is the time they take in preparing each meal; that they also use organic ingredients; and, the skill executed when selecting spices to bring out the flavor in each dish is absolutely amazing.
Both my niece and I had leftovers and I have to tell you, my dish was even more delicious after those flavors had rested a few more hours. I must also confess, I took great delight in having the remainder for dinner.😋
So if you want to enjoy a meal and you have time to give the attention and appreciation to the art given to their cuisine, you will definitely love...
Read moreIt was my first time here and as I was pulling into the parking lot I saw quite a few non-Indians entering the place. I was hesitant because most likely the food is Americanized and would be bland with no flavors. Thankfully I was wrong.
This review is for the buffet, I always look for a weekend buffet and this could be my new place. The interiors are well decorated and nice ambience, the cleanest toilets I have seen in an Indian restaurant. The wait staff were attentive and served well which you don’t usually see especially if you are an Indian 😊. There was a big family (South Asian/Bangladeshi) with bunch of kids when we were there and the kids were being rowdy close to the hot food. The parents didn’t care but the manager respectfully asked the kids to stay away from hot food.
Coming to the food, the presentation and variation in the menu is decent, not the best buffet I had but for Tampa it will pass. Advice to management- 1. You can’t have an Indian buffet without a Dal/Sambar/ or atleast rasam and raitha. You had a good salad though, also I hope you have 1 South Indian breakfast item each weekend.
The buffet timings need to be increased atleast till 2:30 from 2:00 that’s when you will get...
Read moreHORRIBLE FOOD. Except ambience nothing is good here. Wish i could give negative star. All 5 Star reviews could be paid. Let me start with buffet. The chicken apetizer tastes like steamed chicken. It has no spices or seasoning, just some green and red color added. Zero taste. Chicken chilli is generally boneless. Here it is with bones. Chicken in chicken biryani is brown/dark. That generally happens when chicken is stale. Also biryani has no taste it just tastes like plain rice. Butter chicken has, capsicum, green peas, etc. Who adds capsicum and green peas in butter chicken? Chef needs to know how to make dishes. Panner in butter paneer was hard and the flavor from the spices not absorbed into paneer. Gulabjamun tastes like donut dipped in sugar syrup. Maybe they used donut dough to make the gulabjamun. Soda is not included in the bufrt price. They charge 3 dollars xtra for soda. Only 2 deserts in buffet. One is cut fruit and other gulabjamun. You pay $20 for all this. The food is not even worth $5.
Avoid this restaurant...
