I recently had a very disappointing experience at this store. My 13-year-old purchased an accessory, and the salesperson did not explain the return policy. We also purchased the warranty, but when we returned because the item was incompatible—since it only works with a PC and not an Xbox—we were told it couldn’t be returned. The item was never used; we only opened the box to check that everything was inside, especially since they often sell pre-owned products.
The manager or front desk employee was extremely disrespectful in front of my children. He completely ignored us, read the receipt in front of me in a condescending manner, and made me feel as if I was being belittled. This was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve had when purchasing video games or accessories.
No matter what they claim, this kind of poor return policy is exactly why so many people prefer online shopping. Amazon and Best Buy offer far better return policies than this business. After being a GameStop Pro member for 15 years, I will never shop here again. I will also make sure to warn others about my experience so they can avoid the same frustration. Where i come from you usually tell the person your buying from to hold on a sec and let me get these paying customers out of here so I can pay you. Read moreI wish I could leave a better review, but this GameStop leaves less than desired. I went in to do some last minute shopping on Friday and stopped in to pick up some items. I was not surprised by the amount of people the Friday before Christmas. But what I was surprised by is the fact they only had ONE PERSON working and running the entire store. Absolutely insane to see that especially for the holidays. Josh the poor employee at the front really worked his butt off helping and answering all the questions everyone had. His attitude was so great considering what a terrible position he was put in. At one point there seemed to be another person there but didn't even stop to help which seems a little ridiculous.
