My husband and I chose this place which we have been coming to for 8 years now. Tonight we were very disappointed because our waitress camellia I believe her name was, failed to mention there was an extra cost for guacamole at $6.00. We did not see that until we checked out. We at that time paid for it and tipped the young lady. I called back and spoke to Bree. I asked to speak to a manager to which she responded there was not one, that she could help me. I explained our situation and the tone in her voice was non interested or caring. She placed me on hold for 4 minutes then got back on line saying that “yeah, that’s what it is” and she’d talk to the waitress about it because she laughed when she said it. I asked if we could be refunded for this and she flat out said “no, we are not going to do that”. I asked when a manger would be in. She said she doesn’t know “they come and go” I asked what that meant. No response. So I stated I’d be contacting the BBB and she laughed and said that was fine. I asked for a managers name and she wouldn’t give me one. Most of the wait staff were high school age and just standing around laughing in a group. I felt like we were in a high school setting. One of the male waiters was stroking one the staffs hair in a flirtatious way and she was flirting back while play fighting with him. That is something I don’t want to see while I’m eating. No one asked how our meal was and ignored tables with patrons at them. I believe with this kind of experience there should be a manger on duty. Especially one who speaks English to better provide service and can keep thing in order. It’s sad, but we will never return to this establishment again. I’d rather drive to plant city to eat at “Mi Casa” then right up the road to this place. It was never about the money but about integrity. I only asked for a refund because I wanted to see what the answer would be because I already knew she’d say no. $6 refund to retain a returning customer for years to come. Something to chew on. Read moreWe've been going to this restaurant for several years now. Before the health department shut them down and reopen them we had terrible experiences. After they reopen it seemed that they had new management and the first time we went back things were good. My family and I went this past Saturday, and we had a waitress that could not speak or understand English. We requested our food to be made a certain way (queso cheese dip on top of our food instead of shredded cheese) and we got brought a bowl of queso dip and chips. Then once we told her that was incorrect she brought us our food without the queso dip with shredded cheese. I went to speak to a manager which they said was not available, and as I was speaking to the manager the waitress walks up with a bowl of shredded cheese going to take to my table. The waitress still did not understand what I was asking for! We ordered fajita steak and chicken nachos and we got no veggies on either one just me and chips. After all of this we were charged $58 and some change and were charged for two small queso dips!!!!! So I went to the counter to pay and I explained everything and the girl literally only took off the queso dips. She didn't even take into consideration of how my experience was.... I explained to her that when you go out to eat you pay for the convenience of having your food made for you and the way that you order it.,.. to which she replied she understood but still never considered how I was treated during my visit. Situation 8/22/2017:
The daughters of a friend of mine ordered 10 tacos for .99 each and they could not eat them all. They were given their bill, paid and when the waitress returned they asked for a to go box and were told they could not have one as they were .99 cent tacos🌮. This is not an all-you-can eat situation this is paying for what you ordered. There are no signs posted anywhere. With that being said, the the mom of the young girls that were with us heard what happened and went back up with her daughters to get to the bottom of what had transpired. Expecting to either have the tacos 🌮🌮 replaced or their money refunded. Sadly, the staff was rude and the waitress said they (the girls) lied. There was nothing to lie about their eyes were bigger than their tummy's and they wanted a to go box for the food they paid for.
This establishment has no idea how well connected in the community the adults involved in this situation are, one being a business owner the other a legal litigator. NOT VERY GOODD FOR Sabor BECAUSE WORD OF MOUTH IS EVERYTHING!! End result they did refund their money but that is very poor...
