I have come to this location for lunch 4 times, each time thinking the next will be better. Each visit, I have gotten one of their burgers and fries. However, each time, there are two problems:
They can never seem to cook the burger correctly. It’s Wagu Beef, and super thick. More thick than your average burger, which is why I want to love it. I asked for Medium Rare 4 times, and got well done (not even medium) three times and RARE (almost blue in small sections) once. How is this difficult with a basic temperature probe?
The French Fries… you know, that savory side dish that helps you finish off a meal? Not at Jimmy Ps. For a reason unbeknownst to me, on all 4 occasions, the “side of fries” is literally a small, scattered handful of fries on the side of the plate that are so obviously penny-pinched that you can count them individually. If you want “more fries” that will cost you $3 extra! I will never understand why the owners of Jimmy Ps want to penny-pinch on their French fries, of all things. They’re good fries, not bad, but not spectacular. They could literally remove a whole ounce of Wagu Beef from their burger (and I wouldn’t notice) for the same price as a bucket of French fries.
These two issues alone, repeated on every visit are enough for me to be done, and go back to Brooks Burgers where I know I’ll have Enough fries and the burger will be cooked the right way… I want to like this place because their Wagu beef burgers are a phenomenal idea and very unique to burger places these days. And, I really wanted to chat with management about this in person but I figured that if they are unreasonable on the issue of penny-pinching French fries to save an insignificant amount of money, and then require $3 to have more (when you barely had any to begin with), there would likely be no debate or...
Read moreMost disappointing lunch spot I've been to in Naples recently, maybe ever. Our weekly lunch club experience started off bad. We were told to sit anywhere we wanted by the outside waitress. No problem. We sat down inside at a booth. The eating deck required a good wipe down. The server came over and was about to throw down napkin/fork/knife set ups, ignoring the obvious crumbs and condensation pools on the booth's table top. Had to ask the server to please clean and wipe before service. That's should have been done first and not ignored. After wipe down we ordered our drink and food. We ordered the Reuben, Pastrami and French dip sandwiches. The Pastrami sandwich came up way short of good. The pastrami sandwich meat was the worst I've ever been served. Barely passable. Dry cuts of meat and very salty. The rye bread consisted of a loaf end piece, and a middle cut. Both these issues are a first for me. The French Dip was by far the worst I've ever seen. The roast beef was DRIED OUT and TOUGH. Like slices of meat left on a plate in a refrigerator for days, and fed to the dog. My lunch buddy had to send it back. The waiter kindly offered to remove it off the bill, or chose another item off the menu. We were offered a free dessert which we declined. Who knows what would be served, not worth taking a chance. This absolutely poor food experience has forever jaded our opinion of Jimmy P's. Our lunch club will never darken any of Jimmy P's doors again. Harsh opinion and report, just calling a spade a spade!! But more than...
Read moreWe ordered steaks for delivery through door dash. The steaks were over cooked they were well done. We ordered steak medium rare. When we called the store on Piper we spoke to Liz who answered to transfer us to Juan. Juan said we would have to dispute the well done steaks through door dash. (Mind you door dash did not cook the steaks) We the went to the store and spoke to Liz who proceeded to let us know Juan had left for the evening. Due to the order placed through door dash and the kitchen closed we would have to request a refund from door dash. They claimed that door dash did not pick up the order timely. That is why the steaks were over cooked. (They were well done). This is very disappointing customer service and did not offer to the make the order correct. We have ordered several times from Jimmy P’s. They usuallly have fantastic food and great service. This is the most disappointing experience we have had with...
