Update 25 January 2025 - We came in to celebrate the 18th birthday of an establishment that we visit often since it is near by. We arrived around 3:30pm only to find not much happening and lots of room at the bar. We sat at the bar and my first comment to the bartender was "happy birthday". She didn't even break a smile and proceeded to ask what we wanted to drink and walked off like she didn't want to be there. No welcome, no presentation about the "celebration", nothing. 🤔 Perhaps she should find another job where she doesn't have to work with the public.
We ordered our drinks and I asked when the celebration would start. The server said, "it only started at 3:00 and we are waiting for people". By this time it was almost 4:00.
My spouse asked the maitre dame when the celebration would start and she said she did not know.
A different server did drop by where we sat at the bar and did offer us an iced tea drink that contained alcohol. We determined that she was the celebration lead as she was handing out a few hats, t-shirts and shots of iced tea drinks to a few other patrons (we didn't receive any bling). We watched where the celebration lead went and she visited one table in particular many times. She immediately brought iced tea shots, two cans of the iced tea drinks, hats and t-shirts. That baffled us until when we left; she kissed him on the lips. Gotcha. Boyfriends, friends and family get the bling.
We ordered some wings from the celebration menu and had them with our drinks. In the end, we had to ask for a cupcake and a koosie that was supposed to be part of the "celebration". Not much of a celebration if you ask me. Nobody knew what was going on and you had to ask for things. The music didn't even start until we left at 5pm. If your party is from 3-7pm, maybe your party including all advertised elements should be from 3-7pm and not limited to friends and family.
We used to come here often. I think the better choice is up the street on the corner of Immokolee and Livingston where they know how to throw a party every day of the week.
7 years ago - It's always a good meal at BBG. Good food. Lots of drinks to choose from....
Read moreI would give this place 4 Stars...but, a group of us went in after Yoga, at my suggestion and I was very disappointed in our server. He seemed more preoccupied with the sports game on TV, than providing us attentive service. The Veggie Burgers we had were delicious and so was the Sweet potato fries. But, we had to ask our server for condiments, silverware, and the "sandwich set-up" which the menu said it came with. (Lettuce, Tomato & Onion). And one of us ordered a Ceasar Salad that was delivered a soggy mess and was nearly inedible. After finishing our food, upon a whim, we all agreed to share their Apple Dessert, only to be informed that the kitchen had been closed for 12 minutes. Why hadn't he notified us beforehand that the kitchen would be closing??? He never tried to upsell options or dessert and towards the end, seemed unhappy that we were there. We all tipped him fairly, but reluctantly. I would recommend this place to others and return...but, will be very specific and detailed with the server! I hope he is not a reflection of all of...
Read moreI had not been to this establishment for a few years and noticed that the plaza had a major facelift and decided to meet a friend for drinks and snacks at the bar, big mistake 😕
Because the tap service wasn't working, (a beer garden, right?) I ordered a margarita, my friend had a bottled beer. We were catching up after months since seeing each other. Do you ask prices when it's happy hour time?
Later we ordered 2 appetizers to share, I ordered another margarita (2 total), he had 4 bottles of beer total. After catching up, we asked for the bill, 😲 shocking $75+ without tip. We split the bill, leaving 20% tip for the bartender even if the service wasn't great or even a smile 😊 with that huge bill.
2 margaritas ( the day after Cinco de Mayo) $28 dollars, 4 bottles of beer $20, 2 appetizers $30, tax and tip for average food, no option for tap beers and outrageous priced margaritas that weren't even good, $100 total, not so...
