Juan Valdez Café — Restaurant in Florida

I came by on a Sunday with my family around 7:25pm to get a coffee milkshake which my wife loves and was craving. We drove about 45 min to get to this location and when we went to order the manager seemed upset to see us walk in as she was about to close even though the store hours said it closes at 8pm. She said she was working alone and was closing early which for me having worked in hospitality I find very disrespectful to customers. When we placed the order she advised that “she had no ice cream” to make our milk shake and it which was honestly a lie because we came back the following day and when they opened the fridge you could tell the ice cream had been there for weeks in fact the label in the bottom of the cup said it came in the week before. It was an unpleasant experience from this lady and very frustrating knowing she was lying to us just because she didn’t feel like making the drink and we lost 2 hours of our time. We come here all the time and we do appreciate some of the other staff but this lady in particular is just extremely rude and un professional.

I went there this morning there was one man at the end by pick-up talking to the barista and she was making a drink. I presumed dhecwas making the drink for him,Not being rude I just went in and stood behind the gentleman. So I stood and I waited as they talked in Spanish not thinking I understood as he was just trying to make a date. But I stood there. Now I'm getting a little angry because it has been approx 3 minutes or more waiting to be acknowledged. Nothing! Not I’ll be right with you! So she moves down to the pastries and still talking he moves down in front of me looks at me and goes on. I still stand there. Now it's been 5 minutes and the the door rings I'm thinking now she will say something. A gentleman walks in and up to the counter. She says to him how can I help you. I was standing there leaving her to make his drink and she just ignored me 🙈 I had to walk out or I would have blown my mind. And said some not-so-nice remarks.So I wait to call to talk to a manager but nobody will answer. The reason rating on atmosphere was it was empty do...

The place is laid out very well. I love the decor and their is plenty of space to gather a couple of friends for some snacks, coffee, smoothie, etc. Not sure if they are running wifi, but who isn’t these days.

The barristers are starting to come together as a team, but you can tell they are still working it out. So, I’m going to hold to the five stars until my next review. It would be easy to say three or four, but for a new company I just don’t rate like that unless someone was rude or if I got the notion they didn’t particularly need my business. Everyone, was pleasant but concentrating real hard on getting things right and I can appreciate that.

So, I ordered a mild latte mocha and it was done right. The coffee is strong as it cleared my head after a couple of sips and not I had the mild.
