The staff was incredibly rude to us and did refused to correct my he order. We were cheated out of what we had paid and were never listened to.
We wanted to order 2 dinner combos (come with a side of fried rice, an egg roll and cup of wonton/egg drop soup) as well as an extra side of white rice and large miso soup for my sick brother.
We first asked if we could substitute our cups of soup for miso (listed as less expensive anyway). He said no we couldn’t do that. We asked why , and he didn’t answer. So we settled with cups of egg drop instead. He was very disengaged the entire time we ordered and kept picking up the phone. He did not try to even recap what we had ordered.
We came back after 10-15 min. They said they still had to bring the large egg drop soup from the back. We said we ordered a large miso soup not egg drop. They challenged us in what we had “said” . How could they try to blame it on us when he didn’t listen on the first place? So then they said ok we need to charge you for that, so we paid. As we were looking at the receipts further, we noticed that we were charged for both a large egg drop and miso. We said that the large egg drop needed to be removed. They challenged us again. Finally, he gave us a “refund” by handing us a few dollars (not even the full value of the soup) and handed it to us without a word.
To make matters worse, when we got home, there was only one thing of fried rice (should have been 2) and no egg rolls.

But all customers said everything was good, nothing wrong, none of them left such a bad review from a user name “Anna E”. Then Checked all Uber, Doordash, Grubhub customers and delivery drivers names and photos, then we found you. Actually you were a Uber driver came to our restaurant picked up a delivery order for customer “Sarah N” at 9:10pm, as we know, at first you was trying to take the food bag without indicating the cashier lady, when the cashier lady asked you to wait a second for her to finish taking a walk-in customer order, you interrupted the conversation between the cashier lady and customer twice. Based on the facts, I don’t think the cashier lady was rude to you, we have first come first serve policy, and every minute on your delivery trip including you wait in restaurant for food preparing is fully paid by Uber company. First and foremost, I was thrilled with the speedy delivery. The food arrived at my doorstep much quicker than anticipated, which definitely added to the convenience factor.
As I opened the package, I was met with the wonderful aroma of the Roast Pork with Vegetables. The dish was piping hot, as if it had just come straight out of the kitchen.
When it comes to serving size, Summer Palace Restaurant truly exceeded my expectations. The portion was incredibly generous, leaving me with plenty of leftovers for later enjoyment. It's always a bonus when you feel like you're getting your money's worth, and in this case, the restaurant delivered on that front.
I unfortunately discovered a few pieces of eggshell in the dish. It was a bit disappointing to encounter this unexpected obstacle, as it affected the overall enjoyment of the meal.
While finding eggshell in my food was not the most pleasant experience, I believe it to be an isolated incident that does not necessarily reflect the overall quality of the Summer Palace Restaurant.
