They say a picture is worth a thousand words!
For a Sunday around 1:30 pm. It wasn’t busy and the dining area was semi-full, Surprisingly, I did not have to wait long to be seated.
After I was seated, I'm greeted by Jazmine. I found her to be very charming and affable waitress with a level of professionalism one seldom sees nowadays. She has a great demeanor and a work ethic that's second to none.
Jazmine was very attentive and fast to refill my unsweetened iced and checked on me often to see if I needed anything else.
Clearly whatever this establishment is paying her is not enough! She needs a raise.
Now, let's talk about my meal. I ordered the tuna melt with Swiss cheese. I'm not a big fan of potato chips. So, Jasmine being ever so alert and said: "We also feature onion rings or french fries. Would you prefer them instead?" Enthusiastically, I said yes to the onion rings!
My food arrived within 10 minutes which I found impressive. As the remaining staff in the the dining was busy tending to their customers or cleaning the restaurant
As you can see in the enclosed photos my meal was cooked to perfection and served hot. As the plate was placed on the table…. My olfactory nerves were seduced by the welcoming scent of freshly cooked deliciousness. Immediately, I knew I was in trouble as indecisiveness was running rampant. As I glanced at mt morsels of decadence delights. “ Where do I begin thought?”
I already could sense my glucose levels beginning to rise. I'm a diabetic and the realization set in that I must choose wisely for my monthly cheat day.
Finally, I decided with an onion ring. I remove my prize from the plTE and set it on the napkins as I sip on my unsweetened ice tea.
I'm feeling like I'm Gollum from Lord of the Rings. As those immortal words race through my mind. "My Precious! O my Precious!" I'm now salivating like a rabid dog as I raise this morsel to my mouth.
It was absolute heaven. I tried to be gentle and eat slowly. The beast in me commanded I ravish and devour it as the Vikings pillaged and plundered Old England.
My conquest is complete, and Valhalla is pleased and I succumb to a heightened sense of awareness as satisfaction. (Actually, my blood sugar is rising.) But it was well worth it. I'll return soon Jazmine.
Thanks for making this a dining experience...
Read moreMy husband and I weren't impressed. We didn't take pictures of the food for that reason.
Hubby ordered a tuna melt which came with chips. Seems all sandwiches come with chips not fries that's extra. Tuna was good but the melted cheese wasn't actually melted. Chips were kettle ones extra crunchy but not flavored or even salty. True to his form he also ordered a tomato bacon cheddar omelet which came with sliced red skinned potatoes. He asked for them well done crispy and they were not. Omlete was ok he said, also a little bland. He ordered coffee which was almost 3 bucks and when he asked for something else since it was not strong enough for him was told he would have to pay for another beverage. Then said so do you then just want some more coffee?
I ordered an Italian chicken panini. Comes with pesto sauce and I'm allergic so asked for it without it. When it came the sandwich was poorly put together. Cut in half one side had the chicken other side had the roasted peppers. It was a panini but the bread was not buttered and then pressed because the bread had char on it and was very dry. I asked the waitress for any other type of sauce since I didn't have the pesto maybe that would have helped. She brought onion petal sauce which was good. But was the size of a sample yogurt at racetrack. I got fries even paid the up charge cause potato chips never works for me as an adult option. They were perfectly crisp but not salted or anything.
When the bill came we were charged 50 cents for the sauce. Our complaint about that is not about the charge it's about the size of it that makes no sense to us. Manager (turned out to be the owner) came by and asked if all was good and we mentioned the coffee and sauce issues. Said we felt it was like being nickle and dimed for silly things. He was very nice and talked for a while.
In the end he took off the 50 cents from the bill. But we won't be going back. Atmosphere was how they wanted and staff seemed nice but food wasn't worth $34... we will stick to mom and pop breakfast places where substitutions...
Read moreMy first experience walking in to pick up an order. I was first in line. And the hostess looked over me as if I not only didn't exist, but didn't even address me. She instead called the next group of 6 people to follow her to the table. I guess I don't look like a paying customer because there is only 1 of me. The hostess looked like she hated her job and her customers more. Never greeted me when I came in.
And guess what. The family who followed her? They stopped and asked If they had just cut in line!!
Even they knew the hostess wasn't fair. I don't care how the food tastes. Part of the food is the service. I will not be coming back. There are plenty of other diners. And sitting here, She still hasn't said good morning to me. Though she seems to preferentially call out to those who are dressed upper class. I'm not dressed badly at all. Relaxed sweats, shirt and shacket with a cross body bag and headband. I'm a normal individul I seriously don't understand. And I don't smoke or drink or have history of drug useage. So there is no reason or cause for preferential treatment beyond the staff focusing on money over service.
Also.. Pull out your order and actually check they get it right. Because they forgot I ordered whipped cream ON THE SIDE. They charged me for the whipped cream and didn't include it in the bag or even on the waffle. When I tried the pancake. The pancake was not cooked. The waffle didn't taste home made. More like bisquick batter which runs through me. And they added high fructose corn syrup to the bag.
So here is the sum up... I paid $35 for 1 pancake, 1 waffle, 4 scrambled eggs, a side of strawberries and whipped cream.. The meal was sub par. The food was not that good, the syrup was cheap and the experience was quite...
