More like zero stars.
I have had good meals here earlier this year. Maybe there has been a change in staff since. Two visits ago, I found that some of the snow peas in my chicken with snow peas entree were rotten. I gave them one more chance yesterday because I didn't want my boyfriend to go out of his way to the only CONSISTENTLY good Chinese restaurant I know of in the area (Hong Kong Super Buffet on US 192). When I opened the container, I found nearly all the snow peas to be rotting with brown spots (see photo). Would have gone back to return, but my boyfriend picked up the food in Rockledge and brought it to where I'm house sitting in South Melbourne Beach - probably a 40 minute drive.
I noted the amount of chicken in my meal was significantly less than what I have received from many other Chinese restaurants when ordering the same quart size entree for decades now. So, $9.95 plus tax for a few small "shaved" pieces of chicken, a couple chunks of carrot...and a pile of rotten snow peas. I don't eat the rice, so I was left hungry. We also discovered that the fried dumplings I ordered were not in the bag, but again, it was too far to go back.
I find it stunning that a restaurant would think it is acceptable - or even wise - to serve obviously rotten food, especially in a climate where online review writing/reading is quite popular. Even if they were surprised to find their supply of snow peas to be bad after I hung up from ordering, there is a Publix in the plaza, less than 50 feet away. It would have been fine even if they had used the smaller frozen snow peas - just not rotten ones! I hope that saving a few cents by not tossing rotten vegetables is worth a terrible Google review to Kimbo owners. We will not be back.

Read moreOn a Friday evening, the place was busy. The entire visit was overshadowed by the constant shouting of the manager. Shouting at the kitchen and shouting at the customers... Not rudely, it just appeared that he has only one volume setting. They were behind on orders with a barage of online customers complaining they had waited over an hour. Behind the counter was confusion as they scribbled orders on sheets of paper with no real system. I waited 45 minutes for my order promised in 30. The sweet and sour chicken was as expected. The Mongolian beef was disappointing and seemed to consist of mainly celery, onions and scallions with a mildly seasoned sauce. It had a peculiar odor but was generally consumable - not like any Mongolian beef I had had before. Also, while waiting, I had some time to look around the front of the house and was disgusted by the front windows and door. It looked like it hasn't been cleaned in years.... Smears, handprints, and other unidentifiable dirt caked on it. Curious if the most obvious place in view of the public is disgusting, what does the kitchen look like. Contemplating other nearby Chinese takeout locations in the future. Update... Months later they place still looks dirty from the curb...
Read moreHighly disappointed the food was horrible after spending nearly $100 there it was highly insulting and disappointing. To begin with the egg drop soup was nothing but water with eggs like someone forgot to put cornstarch or just added extra water to Old soup The Wonton soup was lukewarm with cold wontons in the center. Next the orange chicken was flavorless and the sauce consisted of a viscous nature kind of like Snot and had barely any flavoring the egg rolls were mushy in the center like a paste could not continue with the rest of the items for fear of possible food poisoning. The fact that they allowed the food to go out that way shows they don't care and considering their location which is an upper middle class location they should care about Word of Mouth but apparently they didn't care today. I will not be returning if you want quality Chinese food you should try China Park in Cocoa they always make sure their food is top quality before they send it out with anyone so keep your apology that you will type after you read this, how you will check and see what happened, it doesn't matter because that will not put my $100 back in my pocket after wasting it on such a...
