Slow and Low we will visit no more. We have been wanting to try this place for a while now, and we finally had the opportunity to stop in Dec 28, 2019. We had 2 appetizers, fried pickles and corn nuggets. The corn nuggets were hard as rocks, so we asked the server to bring some that weren't overcooked. They were better the 2nd time around. We ordered 2 brisket meals large portions. This comes with 2 sides. My husband wanted a salad , so the server said a side salad will count as 2 sides. I got the garlic mashed potatoes and baked beans. My son ordered a cheeseburger with fries. My uncle ordered the rib plate with okra and mashed potatoes. Cheeseburger and fries were good. The rib plate was good according to my uncle. My husband's brisket came out first and the salad came out a few minutes behind. My brisket was served with sweet potatoes mash, no big deal , server brought out my garlic mashed that I ordered orginally. The baked beans were awful , they were very dry and pasty thick, almost as if they were sitting in a pot all day and all night long. The mashed potatoes were ok. The brisket was juicy and chunky. It was the consiatancy similar to pot roast. The juice was probably beef broth that it was soaked in all day long. The flavor was not appealing, to me it tasted gamey. Being that it probably was soaking in the broth for a while it was very chewy almost rubbery. I was not pleased with the meal at all. I have eaten brisket dinners in several different establishments and this is the absolute worst I have had. The manager "Keesha" ? Stopped by our table and asked how was everything? At that time we shared our feelings about the meals and she said to my husband I guess I could bring you a burger off the kids menu ? That really set me off, that was very disrespectful, and really unprofessional. Where are her customer service skills ??? I was at a loss. We told her how does that compare to the 15.00 meal she expected us to pay for? My husband and I were infuriated that she even suggested the child burger. It was though she was mocking us. We packed the corn nuggets to go and left almost both entire plates of our brisket meal on the table. I paid my 81.00 check and tipped the server as I dont think it was her fault nor her decision. I will NEVER visit this establishment again. I will NEVER recommend it to anyone. Shame on them for losing a good customer. It is back to Sonny's , Woody's or...
Read moreI am not impressed with this restaurant at all. 1. I tried calling for a half hour and the phone just rang and rang and no one answered. But I promised my brother barbecue so my husband drove to the restaurant to place the order for pick up. While he was there he noticed that the hostesses were not answering the phone at all. 2. Besides all of the Ribs and sides we ordered We also ordered four orders of chicken tenders. Look at this photo these are the frozen dinosaur chicken nuggets that you can get from the supermarket. I actually have these in the freezer and could’ve saved $40 on chicken nuggets. 3. We spent $140 and his hands were full with the bags of food right i front of the door, The hostess says wow your hands are full and kept walking. She did not open the door for him!!! Really? 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ if 20 people were trying to call spending $100 that’s $2000 out of the owners pocket just last night. Losing us as customers $140 times 12 orders in a year. $1680 loss.
Additional Comment based on this reply from the restaurant.
While my husband was at the restaurant waiting for his food the phone was ringing off the hook the hostess told him she wasn’t answering the phone because they were too busy, he offered to help answer it because he was just so shocked that they would not answer the phone. Obviously he was being sarcastic but being in the restaurant business he was really annoyed at this response. Because we were the ones being ignored earlier for a half hour trying to get through.
Nowhere on the website or online is there a children’s menu and nowhere online are frozen Dino Nuggets mentioned. I cannot believe that a barbecue restaurant would actually have the audacity to sell frozen chicken nuggets that you could buy next-door at Publix. We asked for Chicken tenders. When he ordered was he asked if they were for 5 year old kids? No, This was to be a part of our Dinner. 2 full orders of Ribs, Brisket, & 4 orders of “Tender All White Meat Battered Chicken Tenders” plus all of the sides

Read moreThe food was very good. Brisket was very tender. Pulled pork was ok, we’ve had better at home. The BBQ sauces were almost the same, one just happened to be flavored with more vinegar. Fried pickles were very good. Our server asked us which sauce we wanted and we asked for both. The horseradish sauce was mainly sour cream and by the time we got the ranch the pickles were gone. We had to ask our server for things 2-3 times before we actually got the item we requested. I had asked for vinegar and was given a jar of peppers the first time, the second time we were given extra napkins. When we asked the manager checking on our table, she explained the vinegar in the peppers is what they used for their turnip greens which the server never explained. Every time Summer checked on our table we felt uncomfortable and like she was rushing us to finish our meals. She would always ask “are you done? You doing ok?” She never gave the sincere vibe and the smile was absolutely forced. With each interaction it seemed sarcastic. We ate with another family and when we ordered we had explained who was on what ticket. One side of the table was our and the other side was theirs, she brought our ticket and it was all combined. We asked for her to separate them and she rolled her eyes and shook her head as she walked away from the table. Then it took about 5 minutes or better for her to come back and get our payments. My husband and the other family had their cards ready for when she brought the tickets back, but she wouldn’t even stay long enough for them to hand them to her. We’re here for a baseball tournament and would tell other people about where we have eating and the experience, for this place the food was good but I wouldn’t come back because of the service we experienced. The manager only came by the table the one time and we never saw her again. Maybe she was having a bad day, but Summer didn’t make us feel...
