You haven't tasted good ice cream yet if you haven't been to La Michoacana Ice Cream. Made the way they do in Mexico, with a real dairy cream base instead of gums and fillers. Which means it will melt fast. I walked out with and ice cream bar and it was dripping as soon as I got in the car and it's not even warm yet. The ice cream scooped in the same as the ice cream bars. There are way more ice cream flavors and I think you actually get more icreamnwith the bars.
They will scoop a little sample if you want to try it first. They have two colors of vanilla, white and yellow. The yellow is so rich it almost tastes like non alcoholic Rompope, but I can't confirm that is what it is. This ice cream has such a smooth and rich consistency. The natural flavors come thru. Fruit bars with chunks of fruit, walnut ice cream bars packed with walnuts - you should try it. Coconut is very smooth with no coconut pieces. Mango is so awesome. Pineapple was a really amazing surprise. Cheesecake was a clean mild flavor. I grew up in Mexico eating Gansitos and they have a Gansito flavor!! They also have spicy fruit and other Mexican flavors that are unusual to us here. We are going to come back and try every single flavor! The staff are really great, especially considering their young age. The drinks were really good too Its is confusing to come into parking lot. You have to enter the lagoon community entrance, go around the round about and turn right just before exiting the community. Only one complaint. The music is way too loud. We wanted to sit and eat in but it was killing our ears. This may affect our return when it gets hot and it melts too fast in the car. Please turn it down and let us enjoy the treats inside. Read moreI am extremely disappointed with how my mother was treated at this location today. She was left standing without service, even though employees looked at her multiple times and chose not to acknowledge her. When she finally asked if they had seen her, they told her “no,” despite clearly looking at her several times. She then asked if she would be serviced, and instead of assisting her, they just looked at her as if she was the problem. This behavior is completely unacceptable.
I have been a loyal customer since this shop first opened, but the service has become increasingly disappointing depending on which employees are working. Too often, staff show negative attitudes, give unwelcoming stares, or act as if helping customers is an inconvenience. Sometimes they are stingy with portions, and when they are not, their attitudes make the experience unpleasant.
There have also been times where I witnessed employees picking and choosing who to serve first. For example, I was once standing at the register ready to check out, but instead of assisting me, an employee chose to serve someone who had just walked up.
As a loyal customer, I cannot continue to support a business that treats customers this way. I hope management takes action immediately to improve the quality of staff and customer service, because as it stands now, I will not...
Read moreI went into this shop today and had a disappointing experience. There was only one family in front of me, and they were already paying out. While I was waiting to be served, I clearly saw three employees behind the service bar talking amongst themselves, looking at me, and shaking their heads as if they didn’t want to take my order.
Once the family finished, one employee was available, another was moving very slowly, and the third walked to the back. When I asked the available employee (who purposely stared straight ahead and ignored me) if she was waiting to serve someone else, she acted confused (as if she didn’t hear me) and then said no. I asked if she saw me standing there, and she told me she didn’t… despite looking at me several times before.
At that point, I felt very unwelcome and decided to leave without being served. This was disappointing, and I hope management addresses how customers are being treated.
