My first experience with this place was because I had to wait for a prescription from CVS and I had some time to kill. I ended up getting three different kinds of tacos, the chorizo, carnitas and al pastor.
The carnitas was a little dry for my taste. The al pastor had some great flavor but the chorizo was definitely the star of the show. I fell in love at first bite. On top of that, the tacos were ready in less then 5mins, great quick grab.
I ended up talking my hubby into going there for dinner tonight just so we could try some more items. I got two drinks that were delicious. The hubby got enchiladas with green sauce which were a little spicy for his taste which is bare minimum of any spice and he still liked them and ate the whole plate.
I got the Quesabirria tacos and honestly it was more like a Quesabirriadilla. Not like what I've had at other places and probably wouldn't order again if I'm looking for authentic Quesabirria tacos. Anyways I still didn't have my feeling of it so I ordered a torta to go with al pastor. I got to say it is one of the best that I've had considering very few place do it right now and do it well.
Will be back to try out some other menu items. Even with the language barrier, the staff was very attentive and...
Read moreI ordered the House Speciality Tylaunia? I ordered it with beef...It was possibly the worst Mexican dish I've ever had. It was advertised for a dollar less than i was charged. When the bill arrived.... I asked the waitress ....the very polite waitress about that? ...She explained a price increase recently happened. The thin beef was way... overcooked...and tasted more like shoe leather...I asked for cabbage instead of lettuce...but they gave me lettuce. The interior motif was interesting and had character and the bathroom was clean. The meal at lunch was a complete failure. The people who recommended the restaurant said I should have gotten the Torta...all I know is this restaurants food product ( the house specialty)I ordered was horrible...barely palatable but I was hungry so I ate it. It lacked flavor had way to little tomatoes and guacamole not enough cheese and looked like a Mexican pizza with bean paste spread all over a Tortilla with everything on top.... The total bill was $18.50 with tip...what an incredible waste of money...sorry I have to tell the truth about my experience. Maybe you're going to have a better...
Read moreSo we ordered chilaquiles, a tostada and shrimp cocktail. The chilaquiles were ok they could go a little easier on the sauce so it doesn’t turn into a soup. My shrimp cocktail was way too spicy it’s the first ever I get a shrimp cocktail with diced fresh peepers( which I didn’t ask for) plus the shrimp still had the tail and I’m not talking about the ones hanging from the rim of the rim of the cup. I asked to get a ceviche tostada instead but what really made me mad was that no management of any kind approached the table the put everything on the waitress who was really nice and apologized for the kitchen’s mistake. When I got my bill they still charge me for 2/3 of the cocktail’s price and also for the second tostada I asked to replace the bad cocktail. Management needs to learn to come out and talk to their customers rather than just leave everything on the server’s shoulders. By the way there were only 6 tables altogether in the whole restaurant. We will not be coming back to this location for a good while, hopefully next time we give them another chance management will have...
