When I visited the little Greek fresh Grill today, I had no expectations of what I experienced. I ordered my simple order and beared witness to four employees do the work of 15 employees filling DoorDash and Uber eats orders, in addition to catering to the customers that were present in the store, all of whom were all handled with top-notch customer service, grace, and patience. I waited a short seven minutes for my order but witnessed as this team churned out six or more delivery orders. It literally brought tears to my eyes as a business owner, not because of the brilliance of the operation, which it was. I was struck by how these steadfast employees, who were undoubtedly making a minimum wage or close to it, pumping out hundreds or thousands of dollars of orders per hour for their company, while maintaining a professional, customer service, customer oriented attitude and dedication to professionalism unflinchingly executed their tasks with expert level communication, efficiency, positivity, and performance. I’m not a blogger. I am not a social media influencer. I am just a guy who got his start running a service business a long time ago, and has applied that customer-oriented mindset to everything I’ve done going forward. I was floored today by the effortless dedication, professionalism, and expert work product being provided at this humble little restaurant establishment next to a gas station on the side of a large American Highway. I was literally moved to tears and tipped these people $250 and as I drove away, I wish I had tipped more; they are producing far more than their actuarial accountants or big cat bureaucrats believe they are capable of doing. I respect these workers and I salute you. Thank you for the delicious food and your kindness. I wish nothing but the best for you and everyone going forward and I hope to be able to offer you some kind of solution to what you’re having to put yourselves through on a day-to-day basis, just to pay the rent. You inspired me today. And I hope this review will serve as a testament to a promise to help you. IF YOU OVERSEE OR MANAGE THIS LOCATION…give your employees a huge bonus and see, in person, what’s happening. It’s both inspiring and heartbreaking. My...
Read moreMy family walked in just before 9 pm with open sign. We got in the line. Hubby was greeted. I thought the man behind counter was greeting my daughter and I. I responded, "I'm doing well. How are you.?" Between the fans and a customer who was speaking with someone on phone to finalize his order, I didn't hear him correctly. My daughter realized he was saying "We are closed." A young woman said, "Ladies, we are closed it's 9:01." I looked down and my cell changed from 9 to 901 as I looked. We entered store, walked to back to ordered. We were were greeted and asked for clarification before the woman announced it's 9:01 PM. We were escorted to door without an apology or comment by the man. I was shocked at the rudeness. If they had been polite, we would have left without any hard feelings. Restaurant staff work hard and deserve to go home at end of a long day. We did not notice the hours on the door. If we had realized it was close to closing, we would have called ahead and asked if ok to place an order. The man ahead of us in line was on the phone with someone talking about his order. They appeared to be willing to take my husband's order as well but we were told to leave. If you need to deliver bad news to customers don't do it poorly and act like customer is stupid. Lights were on and door was open. Offer an explanation with a smile. Thank us for coming in and invite us to return another time. I worked retail and restaurants for years. We never locked doors until 5 or 10 minutes afterwards and never made a customer feel bad for showing up. We were late and we left once we understood what they were saying. The first time we visited the service was slow. There was a mistake with my food but we figured it's a somewhat new location so we tried it again. Next time we are going to Fishhawk location instead. We live off Boyette so only a tiny bit further. The staff and management at Fishhawk have always been amazing. Not likely I will return to this location for a third time any time soon. On the plus size I will remember they close promptly at 9 pm and not a...
Read moreMy daughter and boyfriend took me to the Hungry Greek in Wesley Chapel a few days ago. What a treat great food and prices and atmosphere. I loved their Greek salad with gyro and wheat pita triangles. I liked it so much I found myself wanting more. I live in Riverview and didn’t want to make the drive to Wesley Chapel so I googled Greek gyro and found a place called the Little Geek off Big Bend Rd. in Riverview. I went thinking they would be the same, but was I “wrong.” First off, after placing my order I looked for a table but could not find a clean one. There were three tables in use out of a dozen they have and all were dirty. Since the restaurant was not that busy I simply concluded the staffs priorities were not in order and the found their chit chatting behind the counter was more important then having a clean table for customers to dine. After getting a wet napkin and cleaning a table my salad was brought out. I noted it was more lettuce than anything else with a small scoop of potato salad, a few olives slices, onion, a couple of tiny pieces of pepperoncini, feta and dressing. Additionally I had asked for wheat pita when I placed my order but was served a white doughy bland tasting pita. I asked the server why I didn’t get wheat as requested and was informed they don’t have wheat. The gyro meat had small pieces of bones in it, which made eating it unpleasant. I think it was the end of the slab of meat. As to the rest of the salad I found it was lacking dressing and mostly lettuce. On a scale of 1-10 I’d be hard pressed to give it a 2. No where near as good as the Hungry Greek. I do not recommend this place and won’t be...
