Mi Casa Restaurant in Riverview firmly holds its position as a cherished dining spot, especially for those with a penchant for Mexican cuisine. The establishment earns a solid four-star rating, largely due to its consistently delightful offerings and vibrant atmosphere. The Shrimp Chimichanga, a standout dish, is the go-to choice for many, including myself. It exemplifies the kitchen's ability to deliver on flavor, texture, and overall satisfaction, setting a high standard for seafood in the area. Beyond this dish, the menu's seafood selection is commendably broad and uniformly delicious, with no missteps to note, underscoring the kitchen's expertise in crafting enjoyable meals. Decorative choices within Mi Casa add to its charm, contributing to a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment. Despite its popularity, which often results in a wait, the staff's efficiency in cleaning and preparing tables is noteworthy. Their prompt service ensures that customers are attended to swiftly, minimizing the inconvenience of any delay. The margaritas at Mi Casa deserve special mention. They are not just an accompaniment to the meal but a highlight in their own right, crafted with care and capable of elevating the dining experience. In summary, Mi Casa Restaurant stands out as the definitive Mexican dining destination in Riverview. With its exceptional Shrimp Chimichanga, comprehensive and quality seafood offerings, inviting decor, efficient service, and exceptional margaritas, it's no wonder this place has become a staple for local residents and visitors alike. It's definitely our Mexican place in town, consistently offering a memorable dining experience that keeps us coming back for more.

It's not often I go out during the workweek for lunch. Today some co-workers had other ideas, so I went along. In my opinion a good judge of ethnic cuisine is based on certain elements of key dishes. In this instance, if I see Al Pastor on a menu,. that's where I begin the pursuit of excellence. One can easily tell differences in AL Pastor done authentically or just diced meat with sauce added. I am not opposed to either, as long as the flavors are there. In the case of Mi Casa, the flavors are okay. I had to try meat separate from the taco to tell though. My tacos came to table with way too much toppings. The toppings completely overpowered the Al Pastor flavors. Again, not a bad taco, but next time, I would try just ordering with cilantro and onion only. These were more California style Al Pastor, in my opinion. Service was decent for lunch time, and the atmosphere is very typical brightly colored decor and background Spanish music. The competition is tough in this market. There are two notable Mexican restaurants in the area that set a standard. My hops is that Mi Casa can step up the game a notch.

Pretty disappointing experience. My friend and I came here on a Tuesday night and the place was pretty dead. We sat down and were given chips and salsa which were good, and then we both ordered a drink.. I am giving this place 2 stars because the drinks were excellent. Our server was slow and barely came back to the table. I also ask my server for water 2 times and never received it. My friend ordered the beef enchiladas and I ordered nachos. I saw another table next to mine come out with a huge pile of nachos and that is what I was expecting for mine. My nachos came out and literally had 12 chips with unseasoned chicken that was cold and flavorless with a heaping pile of mostly lettuce in the middle. Confused, I asked the server why mine was so small. She said because I didnt order the slopy nachos (which was $1 cheaper).I knew I would be hungry still so I asked for a side of rice. The enchiladas were flavorless as well. After we finished eating it took our server 18 minutes to come back so we could ask for the check. It was $49 for 2 entrees and 2 house margaritas. Oh and my side of rice. Do not recommend.

Wish I could give less stars but I guess 1 will do. I had did a carry out order before 7:20 PM via the Yelp Order Food online App. Received the email stating it will take 35-55 minutes. I figured it was busy and would give them time.

I arrived at 8:05 (45 minutes) and proceeded to wait in line. I spoke with the front receptionist stating I am here for a pickup and gave them my name and they looked puzzled. After going to figure things out for 10 minutes they find out that they didn't even put in my order.

Now I can be understanding so I decided to wait in my car for 15 minutes bringing the total time to 8:40 PM (1 hour 20 minutes) after I placed my order. I walk in to check on my food as my timer went off and the receptionist said let me go check it. Came right back out to tell me it is ready and she is packing it up. I told her to not tie it all up yet so I can check if all my food is there. What does she do? Comes with it packed and says here you go you are good.

I asked if she could bring the manager out. Wait a bit then the finally comes up to me and ask whats the problem. I showed him the timestamp of the order and told him that I just want to simply point out that they have an issue that they need to tend to. As the restaurant wasn't very busy and I had placed my food order over 80 minutes ago.

You know what he said that the restaurant was so busy and usually people come out early but you came out later so you are good with a nice thumbs up. We are suppose to notify you when your food is ready. Gave me every excuse in the book. I am pretty sure if I didn't come up there to ask where my order was I would be out of a lot of money. Whereas I felt like he should have approached me first to apologize about the horrible service.

My recommendation is to avoid this place as it is a disappointment, service stinks, and there are plenty of wonderful hole in the walls in the area that are better choices...

I visited this Restaurant to celebrate my sister finding her wedding dress. We were a party of 3. Now I was excited to see almost a packed house which Normally means the food is good. A small wait time no big deal. We where seated and after a 5 minutes or so our server came over she look upset or at the No more patience point. She rushed us through our drink order she came back with the drinks put them down and walked away???? So we waited till she came back at that point I was then uncomfortable and No more excitement I asked her what was good on the menu she shifted huffed and said Everything. I ordered the sampler I Believe the Gentleman whom delivered our food to the table was the owner he was polite and happy but the server had already ruined my outting! I ate very little basically I had the whole meal to go. The food wasnt the Burst of flavors I am used to from a Mexican Restaurant kinda bland in my opinion. The server never came to ask if we wanted anything else we flagged her down for 1 soda and 1 water she huffed. Then she brought the check that was the only time she asked any questions like do you wanna dessert I said no thank you she rolled her eyes walked a way it took 10 minutes for her to bring out our checks the reason was she was standing a complaining to her coworker. But oooboy when she saw her tip she was even more nasty looking at our table a pointing at us. I will NOT be going back to this restaurant because I notice as I was living the only happy sole/worker...
