Glory Days Grill — Restaurant in Riverview

I have to give me honest experience and thoughts. My husband, dad and I came in last week. It was my very first time small wait not a problem ordered drinks and starters got drinks my dad and I got are side salads and my husband waited for his Mac n cheese bits I think they forgot about them brought out the sauce for them with salads but no bits. Not a bring deal it finally arrived a little after ordering our meal. When our food came out my dad got his was perfect he loved it said it was great I got my food it was good my husband got his and got the glory burger there was not egg so they said just a min it will be out soon he waited at least 5 to 7 mins for an egg while me and my dad was eating so this as the second time he had to wait because things was messed up. They finally brought his egg out. He ordered his burger medium when he bit into it burger was completely raw. We called the waitress over. She took it back and he continued to have to wait to eat for a whole new one. Also, realizing in that time, I downloaded the app earlier and got the free boneless wings for signing up for the app, but they did not come out with the entrées so I also informed the waitress of that they are missing them too finally got the boneless wings out to the table along with his burger my husband cut into it. It was fine. My wings. Had a hair on them. The restaurant continued to fix the problems in very understanding way the Manager Sam was amazing. She came over and allowed me to express my feelings on the dining experience and did fix everything and also did credit me with a small coupon card for a future order. That brings me to today. I decided to order a small lunch, just some boneless wings and the buffalo tangy sauce and a small side salad with no croutons. The pictures are below. I don’t have to say much, but I think that boneless should have been tossed in the sauce, other than just putting some down on the bottom and the chicken seem very hard I asked for no croutons in the salad and there’s croutons in the salad. I do feel like they need to take a little bit more time as the expediter should double check the work or the management should triple check the work. I did give it two star overall for all of the mistakes Food is good but could be better and correct The service was good and That is probably the only thing that will make me come back if I ever do. We have been here 30 times before today and always enjoyed our meals and service. Today was much different. Got there at 11am for opening on New Year’s Day. The hostess was incredibly nice! Enjoyed her sense of humor. Our server was also polite and did what she could to make our lunch enjoyable. Second group to walk in, only ones at a table and sat outside. Ordered 2 burgers, monte cristo and a cheese steak. Watched another table sit down, order and get their food why we waited with empty drinks . We ended up getting our own drinks from the bar, waited 30 mins for our food. When the food runner sat food down even she mentioned how burnt the sandwich was. Tried to eat it, sent it back. Waited 10 more minutes for the remake. Finally had the chance to order a round of bloody Mary’s from their server and then continued to watch the other table get their additional rounds of drinks before we got ours. When the tab came I asked for a manager to give feedback and he was instantly rude. Refused to comp the sandwich. Told us we didn’t have to wait for food, blamed us for being in a bad mood. When I mentioned I would not pay for the sandwich (at this point I was angry I won’t deny that) the manger said too bad, I told him that sucks because I know they will take it out of the waitress tips he said “does suck for her”. Service sucked but our server truly tried to continue to stay polite and pleasant but the manager was inexcusable in his tone and behavior. Left the tabs for him to deal with and went to sit back down. He locked the doors to keep us from re entry before we even had a chance to decide what we wanted to do next. At this point the manager came out and began to harass our party of 4 even further. We left without paying. Something I have never done. We did leave our server a tip and truly hope she received it. Went here for a quick bite near my hotel. When I arrived, I noticed the place 1/4 full at max and the TV's playing college football. I was given a high top table not too far from the bar. A waitress took my food and drink order. I had the every day margarita special for 6 bucks, and the 8 charcoal grilled wings for 13 bucks. The margarita was alright, but of course water was downed, only to give a slight buzz. Plus, most likely the tequila they used was pretty cheap. What else did you expect for 6 bucks? The wings were at first tender and flavorful, at least for the thighs. But after eating the drums and the 4th thigh, it started to get dryer and chewy. It got pretty dry such that it was almost inedible. But the extra hot sauce that I requested added some good heat and flavor. The carrots, celery, and ranch provided a nice cool down from the heat.

The service was fast and friendly, with the waitress checking up a couple times to see how things were going. The atmosphere was very stereotypical sports bar setting, with plenty of TV's to watch the games. There was a bar on the side with color changing LED lights. However, what surprised me was that the crowd was so quiet, that if the TV audio was turned off, it would make a library blush. Too boring for my taste.

Even with the boring crowd and the above average food, I would still recommend the restaurant. While the food could be a bit better and the atmosphere more glorified, I did appreciate the good service and restaurants efforts. I would go there again for their drink specials. Plus, being near the Aldi grocery store, it would be a good place to have a buzz...
