We Will Never Eat At Lucia Again!
I don't like leaving Negative reviews but this place has earned it! Please read my historical experience with this place.
The first time I experienced this place was about 2 years ago and I was Not Impressed at all. My brother in-law said how good this place was so I agreed to try it. The food was not like any Italian dishes I ever had in my lifetime.
The last time I ate here was about two years ago I had the Chicken Parmesan and asked for extra Mozzarella cheese. I told the waiter I will pay for the extra cheese, and told him to be sure I get the extra Cheese.
The Chicken Parmesan came and immediately noticed barely enough Mozzarella cheese to be called Chicken Parmesan. The breading was soggy and the dinner was a Total Disappointment.
Fast Forward to May 30th 2021 - My Brother In-law's Birthday. He said he would like to celebrate his birthday at Lucia's restaurant so we all treated him out. We were a party of 9.
When I eat at an Italian restaurant I always eat Italian food. This time My Brother In-Law said to try their "SIGNATURE DISH" the RIB-EYE Steak. So I thought, I was not impressed by their Italian food so I should try what they call their Signature dish they are known for. BIG MISTAKE!
4 of us in the party ordered the Signature Rib-Eye steak, and let me tell you it was the most Horrible Rib-Eye Steak we ever had. Mine especially.
There was so much Fat I could barely get 6oz of the 30oz steak to eat. The other three that got the same Signature Dish felt the same way although my steak in particular was the worst of the bunch.
I should have returned the steak back before starting to eat it.
And Shame On The Cook that would have the nerve to plop this giant 30oz piece of Fat on a customers plate. At $48.00 for this steak this is totally unacceptable.
When the waiter came for payment which was almost $600 for a party of 9 with a generous tip, I told him to look at all the Fat that was left over on everyone's plate and I said this was very inappropriate for any restaurant to pass off as good food.
His response was a look of "So What Can I Do About It" this is when I made my decision to "Never Ever Eat At Lucia's Again."
The Photo shows out of a 30 Ounce nasty steak I was only able to extract about 6 ounces that was edible for human...
Read moreI was introduced to this restaurant several weeks ago by a good friend. That evening we had a good experience however because he was inviting I let him do the ordering. I decided to go back yesterday evening and was very disappointed. Things started off well the eggplant Parmesanand Caprese salad to start, both were pretty good. I noticed on their regular menu. They didn’t have pasta with cream sauce, however on their seasonal menu, they did have pasta carbonara. I ordered that and when it came, I immediately noticed something was wrong. The pasta appeared to not have any sauce on it and when I tasted it, I taste nothing but egg. I asked the server who told me they do not have white or cream, and they basically whipped into the pasta. I told him I had never seen pasta carbonara like that and wished he would’ve explained that they didn’t use cream sauce, I mentioned we didn’t like it and if we could get something else, I was told that was not an option and the only thing we could do was get a box to take it home. Very sad on a $20 plate of pasta when between appetizers wine food and dessert. I spent over $150. I noticed the manager who was a woman went around to the five or six other tables and asked them if they liked their food, it was no surprise that she never made her way to our table to ask. Needless to say, things really could’ve been handled differently, but after this experience, there is no way I will go back. I caution others who go, if you decide to go, to be very careful when ordering anything because if you do not like the way that it taste or the way that it’s prepared you are stuck...
Read morePopped in for a quick lunch and was not disappointed. First time here. Didn’t realize they were connected to Graziano’s but that totally makes sense since the food was amazing and the service was incredibly personable and professional.
We tried the meatball appetizer. I could probably order 5 of these (10 meatballs total, 2 per order) and die happy. That’s how good these are!
We split the lasagna and it was more than enough. Tasty. My husband didn’t care for the smoky flavor (maybe the ricotta?). I could probably do without that too but I don’t think it was bad at all. More likely, it’s a taste we’re not used to and this dish will help us elevate our palette. ✨
I would definitely return to try something new. Also, I always appreciate when the manager takes a moment to stop by the table. We only had great things to say. We can all imagine the constant juggling managers endure so it’s that much more special when they take the time to do the little things.
It’s consistent with what I’ve come to expect from Graziano’s except way more laid back. Casual and comfortable without sacrificing first in class...
