Lunker's Sports Grill — Restaurant in Florida

I like to travel as much as I can. And I'm a foodie. So I always try the local places instead of going to a wide chain.

Lunkers did not disappoint.

I want to start with saying the food was great...

The manager Kelly is the reason they get 5 stars instead of 3.

Our initial waiter could have definitely been more enthusiastic and proactive about her job.. (I asked what kind of whiskey they had and her response was "a lot". I then asked which was the house whiskey and she responded "I'm not sure", instead of I'm sorry I'm not sure I can get that information for you. We ordered a buffalo sandwich with pepper jack cheese and a burger with grilled mushrooms. Which were both extra charges. Not a problem. That's typical.

Since the waiter didn't know what whiskeys there were, I went to the bar to go look. I got to the bar and there was nobody there, but immediately the manager (Kelly I believe her name was) came over to see what I needed. I asked what the house whiskey was and just ordered it at the bar. She handed me the whiskey and told the waiter to add it to the bill. That was the last time I saw the waiter.

Kelly ran our food to the table and dropped it off. A few moments later she came back to check on us and we mentioned the mushrooms were raw, and my sandwich didn't have the pepper jack cheese. To which she apologized profusely about the mushrooms and cheese and said "we don't even have pepper jack". I told her we weren't complaining, the food was great, it wasn't a problem, we just didn't want to be charged for the mushrooms or the cheese.

She without hesitation brought fresh grilled mushrooms and an entire new sandwich.

Kelly is a great asset to the team and hopefully the ownership values and treats...

When we arrived I was seated fairly quickly we sat outside because you can smoke outside and I ordered a appetizer I ordered the garbage nachos and boy were they delicious I asked for extra cheese and they loaded the cheese on. I then ordered for dinner a western burger that is a burger with barbecue sauce and a onion ring and the barbecue sauce is homemade and what an amazing taste of barbecue sauce delicious that's all I have to say the burger I had cooked medium rare and was a perfect medium rare most delicious Burger I think I've had in a very long time great job on the cooks. My friends ordered the Monte Cristo which is something very rare to find anymore and a Monte Cristo is a delicious sandwich made with Swiss cheese and ham and turkey I believe I'm not mistaken anyway it was delicious and my other friend just had a regular burger once again cooked medium rare and it was a perfect medium rare. We had a cute little waitress named Bree and she did a great job she only made one simple mistake nothing to be mad at her about she did a great job fantastic place to go eat I would certainly recommend lunkers to anyone that wants a great meal and a reasonable price. Oh I almost forgot I ordered a top shelf Long Island iced tea for the entire table we had three of them and they were made just perfect couldn't complain about anything so those of you who'd like to a good place to eat and a reasonable price and they make good drinks lunkers is the...

Walked in and was told to seat ourselves. Except we wanted a booth and the three empty booths needed to be bused. When a server approached us we asked about happy hour and she said sorry it ends at 6. We told her it's only 5:30 she huffed and asked us if we wanted a booth or a table. We said a booth but the three empty booths need to be cleared and we will. She responded with an eye roll and an exaggerated "ugh" like she just couldn't be bothered. So a booth was bused and wiped down for us but not dried so we had to wiped it down with napkins because it was drenched still. We ordered our drinks and started looking at the menu. By 5:53 we still hadn't received our drinks so we flagged her down and were told the bar tender was too busy and they were coming. There were 4 people at the outside bar and about 6 at the inside bar more than half the bar stools were empty and most of the tables too. We told her it's a turn over game the more drinks you serve us the bigger the tab the higher the tip. She said "I'm not making your drinks. Do you want me to cancel them?" So we walked out. Oh and the whole time the worn out booths had us getting tossed around by the obnoxious patrons on the other sides of us. It was like an awful carnival ride.
