Only leaving 1 star because there was no option to not leave any stars at all! Would not recommend to someone that enjoys flavorful food. This place was a tourist trap for sure!!! For the cost, the food was VERY below average! We received complimentary chips and salsa while we waited on our food. Pretty sure the salsa was just canned fire roasted tomatos— very flavorless. I ordered the 2 tacos with blackened fish and it was flavorless. The flour tortillas were the size of something from a kids meal and definitely not worth the $16 I paid. Pictured is the portabello Macho Nacho for $20 (requested no sour cream or salsa…did not receive everything else that was supposed to come with it)— 1,000 chips with a spoonful of cheese and dried up, flavorless mushrooms. Could have used flavor, more cheese, and actual nacho toppings (maybe some lettuce, tomato etc). We also ordered the kids nachos and requested black beans as the protein. The black beans were dry. Just as the Macho Nacho, there were 1,000 chips with a spoonful of cheese with 14 black beans—no other toppings. Less than half was eaten for both nachos. After addressing our concerns, nothing was done. We also ordered the MT House Salad with brisket. The dressing was requested to be put on the side. We received the salad with the dressing on it. After mentioning to the waitress, nothing was done. Fortunately, the brisket made it a little better. $75 worth of disappointment!!! 100% will never return! On a good note, the waitress was friendly and patient. The establishment was clean and the atmosphere was nice!

Michael has the greatest personality and demeanor I would hire him in a heartbeat 💓 The food here was delicious I can't believe the star rating, curious to read the other reviews 🤨! The food was delicious: flavorful, creative and high quality ingredients. I love the restaurant- the decor is beautiful , spacious - I love their hot sauce wall 🎯 The cauliflower appetizer was very good-squeeze the lime! The blackened shrimp tacos 🌮 were perfect! Looove them! My husband loved his skirt steak burrito and chicken enchiladas- they are smothered in queso. He was a fan. The elotes were fire roasted which was a great touch. High quality toppings, sets them apart from the mayo, Parmesan , tajin (that I also LOVe and use at home)! My youngest child loved their ground beef taco and rice and beans. Overall, everything was scrumptious ! I am so mad I had never given it a try before! Yum 🤤

We were in town briefly and stopped here with 6 girls and we were hungry so we tased a LOT of the menu! Our server, Tyrese, was amazing and the food was soooo good. We sat on the patio and the atmosphere and twinkle lights made it feel special. Highly recommend the top shelf margarita AND the key lime pie! The pie has a very rich taste but sooo good. One of our girls said it was THE best chicken quesadilla she ever had. Also highly recommend the fried shrimp taco and the brisket taco. Both came with a lot of sauce so if you don’t like saucy foods, maybe ask for light sauce. Personally, I love a good sauce everything I tasted absolutely delicious!! The plain queso and guacamole were also very good. We went after 7 PM on a Sunday so it was not super busy. One of the chefs came out and chatted with us and overall, just a really great experience!

I was egar to try this place out. I have driven by many times, I finally made it in. Me and my wife are new to the area and we were excited to find where our next watering hole would be.

The restaurant does offer inside and outside seating. They also have a full bar where you can find a seat. The place is charming and inviting. Staff is friendly and helpful.

The food on other hand could use some help. We started with the Macho Nachos which our waiter informed us it was a large appetizers but order anyways, and there was a lot going on. At first is was very tasty but the chips were thin and the whole dish become soggy and not very appetizing.

My wife order the blackend fish taco. The taco came with huge peaces of fish, she would have preferred a small portion but overall it just did not have much flavor.

I order the pork belly and the burnt end tacos. The pork belly was disappointing. Fat was not rendered properly and and meat was tough and chewy. The burnt ends taco had the this mustard creme and in theory sounded interesting but to me it did not work the mustard over powered the taco.

Our waiter Cobi was nice and professional.

I think the place can be great but the kitchen needs to be straightened out. I do hope that this review is constructive and helpful to Macho Taco because I really wanted to like it.

Maybe I came...

The first time we came, we really liked it, but we definitely won't be back after this trip. Food: the burnt ends queso tastes like milk with bbq sauce in it. It was serviceable, but not worth $14. Salsa is very kachup-y. The pork belly taco and the buffalo shrimp tacos are both really good. The Sea OG taco is pretty good. The fish is soft, but it's just middle of the road. The cool ranch taco filling is great, but the hard shell was so stale that it was chewy. Also it was obviously a store bought hard shell taco and it was bad. My expectations for tacos in Florida aren't super high, but this shouldn't qualify as Mexican food.

Service. Our service was sooo bad, the restaurant was almost empty, but we never once got a water refill and our waitress couldn't even be bothered to smile at us. She was obviously super unhappy with her job and made us feel uncomfortable the whole time we were there because everything seemed to be an inconvenience. When the check came around, our waitress never let go of the card reader machine and watched everything, so tipping felt uncomfortable and she got a significantly higher tip than we would have left otherwise. We couldn't see the breakdown of our check, so we asked for a printed out receipt. This was obviously also an inconvenience.

For $25 a person, it was disappointing to...
