Martin's Country Market of Florida LLC — Restaurant in Florida

So my rating is based off of the customer service my daughter and I got. I live in Arcadia, been here 20 years, I never been in this place, so I decided to stop in because reviews were great and there is not a whole lot of options in this small town. It’s a very country store. Nice, clean and everything looks great. But… I hate to even have to post this…. I’m white, my daughter is mixed. Upon entry there must of been 5 ladies in sight. We got looks, no welcoming looks either. Never acknowledged us. I waited at the counter 6 mins awkwardly..only to grab a menu and start helping myself. After I checked off what I wanted the lady finally acknowledged me and took my paper. We walked around checking other things out, waiting for our order. The girl that stared at us for the 6 mins…then rudely ask if we wanted to go ahead and pay, basically rushing our visit. We hadn’t even got our order yet! 5 other “white” people walked through that door while we waited and they were greeted with smiles and helped immediately! Like really?!!!! Not only did I notice but the guy that walked in right after me did and my daughter. You have a nice place, but you need to learn some manners and stop racial profiling. It’s unacceptable...

My husband and I stopped here on our first anniversary trip. We really enjoyed exploring this little market store. There was so much good food in one place. We couldn't decide what we wanted to buy for lunch that day. There was just too much good food choices. They have anything you would want. Hot or cold sandwiches, baked goods, pies, desserts, salads, snacks, a variety of special drinks, coffee and coffee drinks, and so much more. We went away from this little market store with the best sandwiches ever! We also enjoyed a delicious sweet & salty party mix they make from scratch. With a few other food choices, we were on our merry way. If you ever get through Arcadia, FL, be sure to stop at Martin's Country Market. Their staff is very friendly and ready to serve you. I placed a door dash delivery order and called Martin’s with a question about my order, and the whole experience was the best customer service I have ever received! The staff is just amazing. I got the turkey club and added veggies. Every single bite was full of flavor and deliciousness with the most fresh crunchy veggies which I love! Their sweet tea is simply the best, just like my Grandma made it. They went absolutely above and beyond to help me with my order and were so very kind. For many reasons along with the delicious food, Martin’s will always be my first and favorite choice. Oh, and I had my very first piece of hummingbird cake today, as a compliment from the store.
