Masa Pizzeria & Signature Sandwiches — Restaurant in Florida

Placed a to go order for some mozz sticks, wings, and a “large” pizza (smallest large I’ve ever seen) and a regular individual house salad. Came to $83. What? 😳. Apparently their online menu does not reflect their current prices. Which we found out when we called to find out why there was a supposed $30-something discrepancy. On top of this… We were told it would take 15 mins. My husband left late to go pick up the order, giving much longer than the 15 mins to get the order ready. He gets there and has to wait. Ok fine, understandable. However, everything was literally cold. Not one item in the order was fresh tasting, or even warm. I can understand if one of the items caused the order to take longer. That was obviously not the case. Also, half of our wings had no sauce and were burnt, dry, and tasted so old. I’ve never had worse wings.

But wait, there’s more.

When we called about the order, the lady argued with my husband and told us to bring it all back to the restaurant to prove that these things were true. Lol. My husband also heard the lady arguing with another customer before he paid. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service, and horrible food as well. Really enjoyed eating in at Masa Sub & Grill this evening with my daughter. It was our first time trying this place and we were immediately struck with the cleanliness, cheerful staff and we were seated right away. The interior is newly renovated, brightly lit and inviting. Noise level was perfect for being able to carry a conversation without having to shout over restaurant noise or music. Upon sitting down and opening the menu, I was impressed with the plethora of offerings, there is literally something for everyone here. It was difficult to make a decision but when we saw the Mediterranean Pesto Delight Pizza on their list of special pizzas we both knew “that’s it!” A ricotta cheese blend with fresh garlic, red onion, heart of artichoke and drizzled with pesto, this sounded like a celebration for the taste buds. When it was brought to our table, the sight alone was a feast for the eyes and we knew it wasn’t going to disappoint! Wow! THIS IS THE PIZZA I’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR. The crust was outstanding and very reminiscent of Detroit-style pizza with cheese baked on the crust. The flavor epic. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and helpful. We learned they deliver in a 5-mile radius but the food and atmosphere was so wonderful we’ll definitely be back. ...

Bleh. We've ordered twice or thrice times now. Each time had some sort of disappointment, but this past order last week (Tuesday 10/25) was just terrible. We ordered Uber Eats after getting my husband home after being in the ICU. He was expectedly excited to eat something aside from bland hospital food. He wanted an italian hoagie. Since the menu offers basically something for everyone because it is massive, I decided to order almost $100 of food in all different options. I was craving wings on top of BOGO potato skins and pasta. The wings were brown, although I ordered mild. Now typically a wing sauce is 'reddish', right? They were burnt, brown and I threw half of them away. The lasagna was unidentifiable, really, and the sauce was also brown. My daughter ate it and liked it, but she's five. Not the most seasoned expert of cuisine. My husband was disappointed with his Italian, although it was massive... a big sandwich is great, unless it tastes horrible. Who wants more of something horrible?! The tater skins were alright and my daughter went to bed full, so they get 2 stars for that and the fact that it seems like they are nice people.
