Morelli's Pizza and Subs — Restaurant in Florida

Cons: Pictures of the menu on this page are out of date. I was expecting a $12.70 calzone, it was over $16.

When I cut the calzone open, cold shredded cheese was in the center (it was not cooked enough to melt all the cheese). Also, I could not discern any ricotta inside visually or taste/texture through all the mozzarella.

Toppings were quite skimpy. At a dollar per topping, I would hope that the toppings are abundant throughout the meal.

Lastly, it is a good-sized calzone but served with very little sauce, and the sauce is also served cold. I do not understand serving cold sauce to go with a hot dish.

Pros: The staff seemed rather friendly and kind.

The sauce, while cold, had good flavor when heated.

The crust was crispy (after I put in the air fryer to melt the cheese) and seasoned well with good flavor.

In conclusion: I do not mind spending $16 for pizzas or calzones, but I would expect toppings in every bite, not just bread and cheese through most of the meal.

Normally I don’t write reviews especially on Italian food I’m from New Jersey I know it’s never the same but my 7 year old could have done this better. The chicken was soggy was not breaded there was barely any sauce on my chicken parm sub. The meatballs were smaller than golf balls. The woman on the phone was very nice but the food quality was less than if no stars was an option I’m sorry that’s what I would have put. Taste like I was back in school in the lunchroom it was all processed Sysco food and very poorly made. I’m sorry we will not be going here again. Just ordered from this place a chicken Parm Dinner, the chicken was a round peace of i dont know what, there was no sauce or cheese on the meat, it was just plain white, this is my first and last time ordering from this place as the food was horrible. I also ordered a steak and cheese sandwich that arrived to my house so soggy that i could not even pick it up to eat it as a sandwich. How are these people still open for business. Then i had to wait again as some of the food i ordered was not even in the bag...
