NandoGrill – Carne en Vara & Steakhouse (Doral) — Restaurant in Doral

It is not a lie from anyone one who has mentioned that the food is extremely overpriced. It is. I went with my partner and we ordered 2 “Plato de Carne en Vara” which we paid $66 for both. We also ordered 2 Polar beers and 2 Passion Fruits. The total for all that plus tip was $117. OUTRAGEOUS! We were surprised of the overly priced item at first but we gave it a chance to see how large the portions were. When we saw the square tray with tiny items of beef and the other 3 sides (hallaquita, fries, and queso de mano) was when we looked at each other and decided that we would never come back to the place. The value of the plate is definitely not $33. Unlike others, I must state that the food was good and my comment does not have anything to do with neither the service or the food quality. I believe the owner can charge whatever much he wants and that it is our option as clients to choose whether we want to go or not. I disagree with people that made the choice to eat there and just because they are mad with the price then take it on to slander the food and the place. The place is a family place, the ambience is fun, pet friendly but certainly overpriced. I, as a client, believe that it is overpriced for the amount of food and righteously decided that I will not go back because neither the place nor the ambience is what I look for. I went on 11/3/2024 at first everything was good was sat down pretty quickly, the waiter Ricardo was great he explained everything very professional and was very courteous. He took our order for soft drinks, I ordered a Coke and my partner did not want. So the waiter Ricardo cane back and said the Coke Fountain machine was not operational so then I order a Sprite he said ok. Then returned and said the fountain drinks aren't available but only can ok cool let me get a Coke but in a can he left then returned to say there isn't any Coke only Coke Zero but he had Sprite in a can ok cool let me get that. He brought it to me with a cup of ice. As I poured the Sprite in the cup and drank, I noticed a green substance stuck to the inside of the cup it was green substance!! YUK! I had drank out of that cup. I requested a new cup and new Sprite ok brought out immediately. Now the time was between 12:19pm - 12: 40 finally the drink issue was resolved. At about 12:45pm we placed an order one steak plate and one rib plate. We WAITED about 1 hour and 15 minutes it came to the point that there was tables getting there food before us and we had been there about 15-20 min. before them.
