Old Crow Real Pit Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Florida

With all the positive reviews I heard from locals, I was highly dissapointed. As a person who used to cook for people for a living I was embarrassed. I ordered a sausage with peppers and onions and was served burnt kielbasa and charred onions and peppers, the mac and cheese noodles were over cooked and bland, the collard greens were too bitter and the brisket could have used some seasoning . The fries taste frostbitten. The only thing decent was the coleslaw. The portions were skimpy for the price charged. You would think in an area starving for a decent place to eat, this place could have shinned. This isn't meant to be malicious by no means, more truthful criticism from a person with a culinary background. Food is cooked with love and soul. I felt neither eating here. Sorry guys. Picked up my food got home called said there were no sides and then was called a liar . Themis was 8/1 and I ordered to half slab dinners . The girl lied then the woman when I arrived back the second time called me a liar and asked me 4 times if I looked in w the dinners themselves 4 different times treating me like I was an ignorant , like I know what I just left at my home to drive the 23 minutes back to get the sides while my good was already cold because I had to drive back and be insulted . Therefore I'm never going to spend 72.70 plus the 20$ tip left to be treated the way I was and Insulted to have to drive back to be insulted further so the 1 star rating I'll stick w you don't even deserve that 000000 stars from me...

Been eating here for years. We usually order on the weekends and get the N.Y. Strip. Always tender and delicious. Not sure what has changed but this time the steak was well done and only about 6oz. Normally we order it M/R. Ordered 2 baked potatoes all the way with extra sour cream. Didnt get any at all. The house salad looked like it was off the kids menu!! The side of greens had so much water in them when I poured it out only had half container of greens. I normally don't post a review but after spending $90 and leaving a $20 tip....this was so unexpected! Hope in the near future the new ownership puts in the effort to change these issues!
