Saturday mid-afternoon lunch. An event vendor was setting up a wedding in the main restaurant, and on the lawn. Only outdoor tables available. The waitress was the only good thing about our experience.
Ordered Fish and Chips, and Marinated Chicken on Flat Bread. 1 piece of fish totally inedible, so tough my husband could not bite thru it. The chicken was under cooked raw pink in the thick areas. Did not discover that until after eating a portion. Yuck.
Worse than our food experience was the event vendor employee's behavior. Total disregard for the restaurant's patrons. Yelling at each other the whole time, as if we weren't there. Dragging tables, chairs, carts, and portable beverage coolers across the paver bricks, rather than carrying to avoid disturbing customers dining on the patio. Then the band started doing sound check with the foot pedal base drum, which shook the walls.
We asked to speak with the restaurant manager. When the man arrived, he said he was the owner. However, he didn't bother introducing himself by name. He told us he has no control over the vendor's employees. He wasn't willing to talk with their supervisor either. Another patron upset about the disruptions said they were pretty sure the event manager was the owner's mother??? This was wrong on so many levels.
We were appalled at the owner's lack of concern for his daytime customer base. He has no understanding how to command respect from employees in his own establishment. I come from a 30 year service industry career, which included a 20,000 sq. ft. nightclub (150 employees per night), Good customer service is not rocket science. I tried talking with him. Excuses, or he gave up? He just didn't get it. Wrong business. It was very upsetting to see. I had to get...

There is a limited menu in operation, under a different name. Service was good, we both had fish and chips (grouper) and a beer. Fries were excellent, my fish had some tough parts which I found odd, but maybe I just don't know about grouper. Nice view of the course, plenty of tables, I hope the new operation can make a go of it. Some golf course bars can be...
Read moreBe careful if you are planning to do an event in this place with the current management. Although the space is great, the management that run the restaurant is a disaster. They will treat you badly and with an attitude, they will not accommodate to your requests and they will charge you extra for things in order to discourage your desires. My family planned my sister wedding with them and we had a terrible experience. Andres and his mother are in charge and it's disappointing the way we...
