Pinecraft Ice Cream Shoppe — Restaurant in Florida

I don't eat a lot of sweets, but my wife and kids do. So I brought them here because I've heard so much about this place... Well, from what my wife and kids say, the ice cream here was very good.... The service on the other hand.... Was just weird.

First, the front counter is WAY too close to the entrance. Like, literally, only one average size person can fit comfortably between them... To make matters worse, the counter is VERY wide, taking up almost the entire length of the store front, so that even forming a line and trying to see all the flavors if ice cream is next to impossible because you would bump into other people in order to do so! No joke! If there's 4 or more people in line it's already very crowded! It's that tight of a space.

I think the spacing was planned out incorrectly... But whatever... There was only one person there tending at least 7-8 people. The only employee there could only have been like 18-19, and he had a very serious scowl on his face from the moment we walked in. He didn't say "hi", or "welcome", or a "get out my store"... Just nothing, it's like this kid was dead inside. It was really awkward.

Now, the employee wasn't rude, or mean, in any way.... It was just like he wasn't really there, emotionally. He looked like a guy that was just told that his dog was ran over or something...?

Anyway, I hope it's a better...

The staff certainly needs training on patience, de-escalating, and respect. I went next door at Postal Cafe, there wasn’t any parking so I was forced to park in front of some garbage cans. My truck was running, with its hazards on and my wife inside. I just wanted to get a coffee to go and leave. Some employee walks over to postal and asks me to move my truck, no problem at all! However after telling him yes no problem and walking over to him he goes “yeah I mean there’s a whole sign that says you can’t, you can’t read?” Excuse me what? Buddy I was already going to move the truck you don’t have to be condescending. So I told him never mind! The truck will stay and when the garbage man comes I will move it. Well he came, and when I went over to move it I got cursed out by some larger white lady and some Hispanic dude. Honestly I use to come here often but I will never go here again for ice cream because of this experience. His comments weren’t necessary, her yelling at me in front of everyone wasn’t necessary and over all they need to work on their anger when they get upset. Consider getting ice cream elsewhere the staff is a direct reflection of...

I got a Rasberry Cheesecake in a waffle bowl, but thats where the good ends.

My fiance got a vanilla soft serve in a cone with sprinkles, or so it was ordered. She received a vanilla soft serve in a cone, with a tiny salad dressing cup with exactly 25 sprinkles. She asked "you dont put the sprinkles on it?" To which the employee replied "The ice cream is soft, it won't stick".

Im sorry, but every other soft serve ice cream place is able to get sprinkles on their soft serve. I didnt realize it was rocket science. The fun part was when they charge extra for toppings (whats a topping when you cant put it on?) But couldn't provide any?

This was our first and last time in. Plenty of great ice cream places around, but the amount of ice cream provided in a medium was less than a kiddie cone. It's pretty pathetic, but its almost as if each sprinkle cost the employee a dollar of their pay.

Happy Friday. Please learn how to employ people who can actually run an ice cream shop, there are 15 year old back home slinging the best soft serve with sprinkles from sun up to sun down and yall handed out a daily vitamin...
