Today im back again, as you can see that I wrote a lot of reviews for Popeyes I always give my honest feedback and tonight I walk in the lobby and they tell me to get out and go through the drive-through so it should’ve been locked. I asked her if I could just grab my DoorDash and she said go through the drive-through. I went to the drive-through and she Was asking me what I needed and I said the name of the pick up and she kept repeating it on the speaker and I kept saying yes and then she kept saying I’m not talking to you so I just drove up to the window and she said something so fast I couldn’t understand her. She is Very rude. And I will get her name here in a second I’m just waiting..Now my DoorDash order is 20 min late and I still dont know anything she just told me to pill off and park as you can see, I write positive reviews below this one, but this is nuts. There’s nobody here getting food and I’m still waiting . Now the girl was outside getting some out of her trunk so I pulled up and I said ma’am, what do I do now she goes. 0, you can just drive back around through the drive-through again. She is leaving right now at 10:19 pm — she definitely needs to learn How to communicate fairly she would’ve just left me sitting in the parking lot and the other employees probably didn’t know. I just went to the drive-through and the lady that answer seemed very nice and she said just pull around. I just spoke with her and her name was Kenyatta. She is the manager and she was very nice and she gave me my order and she’s gonna handle the other person.
Today I’m back with a new review. I want to give a shout out to Nika ! She goes above and beyond and she deals with rude customers with a smile on her face. I think she deserves a raise. This is the second time now I’ve been here and felt welcomed whoever’s managing is doing a better job before I felt like an alien when I came in here, I felt like they didn’t like me. That’s just the honest truth. those stars that I just put up, there was because of Tiffany I’ve came here many times to pick up food. I’m a DoorDash and I have felt like a lot of of them were ignoring the fact that I was standing there they never asked me what I was waiting for, so I would ultimately have to say something like my name and the order and then they look at me like I’m doing something wrong. I felt uncomfortable but Tiffany had a smile on her face and my order was waiting on me that makes my job and my day so much easier anybody who delivers we will understand this. It goes a long way and so does a Google review that is honest Thank you,...
Read moreI had an extremely frustrating experience with Popeyes in Tavares over the past week, and their customer service was nothing short of disappointing. Here’s a breakdown of what happened: Phone Etiquette and Inconsistent Instructions When I called to inquire about placing an order for a turkey, the representative simply said I needed to order online and offered no further guidance. The phone greeting was also unprofessional—just “Hello” or “Popeyes”—with no warmth or proper introduction. Despite this, I decided to visit the store directly to place my order the next day. Unlabeled Turkey Incident At the store, they tried to sell me a turkey that didn’t have the proper Popeyes labeling. Even the associate agreed it looked suspicious and refused to sell it to me. She called her manager, whose loud and unprofessional response was essentially, “If it was delivered here, it’s ours.” After a lot of back and forth, I was told to come back or call the next morning to speak with another manager. Online Ordering Issues Reluctantly, I ordered online as instructed. However, the app was poorly designed and riddled with issues: • The turkey was priced at $99 online versus $59 in-store. • There was no tracking or updates for days. • I wasn’t informed that online orders are fulfilled by a third party, which caused additional confusion when I called the store. More Miscommunication and Rude Staff When I followed up, I was repeatedly given contradictory and incomplete information. One associate told me to pick up my turkey in-store, while another rudely told me they didn’t have my order and asked why I paid so much. At this point, it became clear that staff were neither trained on the app nor equipped to assist customers properly. Resolution at a Different Location After days of being misled and inconvenienced, I finally contacted another Popeyes in Leesburg. Their service was exceptional—they reserved a turkey for me immediately.
Unfortunately, now I’m stuck trying to cancel my online order, which was updated too late to be useful for Thanksgiving.
Final Thoughts Popeyes needs urgent improvements in: • Staff training (especially on app orders and customer communication). • Phone and in-store etiquette. • Consistency in information and processes.
Thankfully, I found a solution through a different location, but the overall experience left a bitter taste. I’ll be hesitant to rely on Popeyes in the future unless major...
Read moreYesterday, I went to Popeyes because my kids wanted it, and let me tell you, I’m beyond disappointed—completely over it. I get to the drive-thru, and this woman tells me to hold. Fine, I wait. Ten minutes go by before she even comes back on the intercom. I place my order: 6 wings, 3 tenders, and 2 sides of fries.
I pull up to the window, and this lady—braids, twists, whatever—doesn't greet me, doesn’t say hello, nothing. She just blurts out my total. As I’m reaching for my wallet, she gets impatient and repeats the total, louder this time, like I didn’t hear her the first time. If my two small kids weren’t in the car, trust me, I would’ve gone off right then and there. Instead, I just chuckled and handed her my card. She snatched it and slammed the window shut.
I wait another 10 minutes at the window, and then she tells me to pull around, saying she’ll bring the food out. Before I could even say, “You still have my debit card!” she shut the window again. Fine, I pull around.
A sweet young worker, clearly doing his best, brings someone else’s food out first and then tells me that the woman at the window said I didn’t complete my order. What?! How didn’t I complete my order when she gave me a total and took my card?! Furious, I walk into the restaurant to get my card back. I waited another 15 minutes for my food. When it finally came, I checked it—missing a side of fries, of course. I had to ask again.
I get home, fix my kids’ plates, and as soon as my daughter bites into her chicken, she screams! Why? Because this woman gave us spicy chicken! My kids can’t eat spicy food! This is what happens when workers don’t care about their jobs and just do whatever.
This woman needs a serious attitude adjustment. She held my debit card, messed up the order, gave me the wrong food, and had the nerve to act like it was all my fault. I watched her pack the order; she knew exactly what she was doing. If my kids weren’t with me, I swear I would’ve let her have it.
Next time, I won’t be so nice. Popeyes, if you know what’s good for you, check out this store, watch how this lady works, and fix it. Giving people the wrong food—especially spicy chicken for kids—is...
