Owner and staff were great and offered me some great menu suggestions. The cheese steak 🥩 was tender and was to die for with gooey melted provolone cheese on top of the mushrooms, onions, and just the right amount of grilled peppers to bring out the beef flavor of the steak. After reading so many 5 star reviews and a couple 1 star reviews before I stopped in, it's obvious now that some people did not leave their personal issues at the front door and unfairly took out their personal frustrations, blaming their cheese steaks, the restaurant's decor, and/or the staff for their unhappiness!
Maybe it might be a good time to take some cheese steak mental health therapy very soon, and then on your next visit, you'll be able to enjoy the perfect cheese steak sandwich with an open mind! And while I was eating there yesterday, I overheard their plans to install a brick lined pizza oven soon! I can't wait to taste their pizza once that's up and going! And maybe there will be a nice limited beer and wine menu down the road as well? Who knows?
I overheard their very experienced "genuine Pizzaiola" consultant advising them while I ate my sandwich. I could tell from his accent, that he had been imported directly from Italy a long time ago. He later told me in his younger days, he had "worked the dough" by hand as an "old school" Italian bread baker in Brooklyn, New York. And I later found out from his car's license plate, that he's obviously the owner of a popular local Italian restaurant in Crystal River where my wife and I have enjoyed "our Saturday dinner date night" there before.
So you just gotta know that they'll get this pizza oven installation done right. This could easily become my new "go to" place when I'm craving some great quality fast food without the full sit-down restaurant prices. And they already have inside seating if you want to sit down and share a nice meal with your significant other.
I think I can already hear Billy Joel music 🎶 playing in the background of my mind 🎵 (https://youtu.be/Hxx8IWIvKg0?si=EmVXGq-jfH3DPBDs) while enjoying a glass of white wine or Chianti with Brenda, or maybe just learning more about their tasty food menu items from their very experienced ownership and staff!
"I'll meet you there anytime you want with a bottle of red, a bottle of white, whatever kind of mood you're in tonight. I'll meet you anytime you want at my new favorite Italian Pizza Restaurant", so said Eddy. But please leave all the stress from your own life's personal issues at the front door, so you can go in with an open clear mind to simply enjoy...
Read moreJanuary 2025 I stopped for lunch to pick up some pizza slices. This was my first time here since the ownership changed. The place still has an interesting atmosphere. The staff was cheerful and friendly. Now on to the pizza. You get 2 slices for about 5 bucks, so it's a good deal. I thought the crust was very good. It struck just the right balance of crispy and chewy. I thought the toppings were average. Nothing jumped out. The cheese didn't offer the coveted stretch, and I thought it was a bit scant. The sauce wasn't especially flavorful. The pepperoni was typical, nothing special. I think the toppings could use an upgrade. Overall, I rate the pizza 6/10. In summary, I'm happy to have another pizza option in Homosassa, and I would go back.
Original review ⬇️ Easy 5 ⭐️s! 👍 The cheeseburger was outstanding; dressed with super fresh toppings. 🤌The french fries were also excellent. You gotta love fries that come in a brown paper sack. I'm sure they were the best fat fries I've ever had.👌 The place is cute and clean. I enjoyed checking out the fun memorabilia while I waited for my food. The owner is super nice and friendly. I'll definitely go back to try the Cheesesteak. If you're on highway 19 in Homosassa Springs and your crave is for a burger & fries, roll right on by the fast food joints and stop right here! You'll be...
Read moreForget the fast food chains! Perfect little hole in the wall joint. My girlfriend and I just left the state park and saw Cheesesteaks Only. We decided to give it a try and we were glad we did. The gentleman that took our order was awesome. Friendly, personable and polite. We ordered a simple cheesesteak; steak, peppers, onions and cheese sauce. In a short time it came out of the kitchen. We had mentioned we were going to be sharing the cheesesteak. It came out piping hot, cut in half in two separate baskets with a split order of fries. I couldn’t remember the last time I had to wait for my food to cool while at a restaurant. Just the food being hot and fresh was a treat. Once everything had cooled down we dove in. Uh-mazing! Best cheese steak I’ve had in my 9 years in Florida. 3/4 of the way through the lunch the chef came out to check on us. We ended up chit-chatting for about 10 minutes. Again, a treat to deal with good people who take pride in what they’re doing. A true rarity these days. Try Cheesesteaks only, you won’t be...
