Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory — Restaurant in Florida

I recently visited Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory with high hopes of enjoying chocolates for my Birthday. Unfortunately, my visit turned out to be a complete disappointment due to the abysmal customer service I received.

Upon entering the shop, I was completely ignored by the staff. It was as if I were invisible, as they proceeded to serve a customer who arrived after me. Despite making eye contact with one of the employees, they simply continued their conversation without acknowledging my presence or indicating that they would be with me shortly.

After waiting for what felt like an eternity, the employees started helping yet another customer who came after me. I finally managed to grab the attention of one of the employees and asked if they could serve me first since I came in before them. However, instead of offering an apology or acknowledging their mistake, they seemed annoyed and disinterested in assisting me.

They also threw all of the chocolate and dog treats I bought loosely in a bag together. I took the dog treats out immediately so they don’t leave crumbs on the chocolate.

The candy apple treats were adorable, I wish I would’ve gotten one . They have a wide variety of them and other treats . I tried their chocolate covered strawberries, a vanilla truffle , chocolate hazelnut and a peanut butter cup. We got a great deal on the strawberries because it was almost closing time . You can’t beat or resist a buy one get one free deal on chocolate strawberries. The chocolate coating has a firm shell then the chocolate just kind of melts in your mouth . The truffles were good but the two I ordered were topped with a little salt , if you don’t like that though they have a good variety of other ones . Over all the place was nice ,had an amazing selection of different treats , and was clean. The cashier was also very pleasant. I usually do not write reviews this fast, however, it is a well deserved review. Not to be confused with Godiva, this chocolate heaven is new to the Outlet Mall located in Wesley Chapel or Lutz per Google maps. I came here after I noticed it was opened courtesy of a fellow yelper. I love chocolate to the point were it might be viewed as a bit snobbish. Best thing about this place is their selection of chocolates. European, rich in cocoa and not overwhelmed by sugar. Cough eg. Hershey and Dove. Does not take much to be authentic to actual chocolate.
