Food is good as as usual but waiting 40 minutes for 2 corn tacos is way too long.
Update: I have been contemplating since last night if I should post this follow up and I have decided to do so. Last night I went back to Taco Loco and the owner was taking orders. As soon as it was my turn, I saw the look on her face and could tell she was not pleased but I didn’t immediately think it was about my post... after all it was a month ago and they get a lot of customers.. The owner says to me “Marrrt Tee” and her face gets even more angry. Once she says my name one of the other ladies that works with her comes to the window and tells me that she read my review and wanted to let me know that she goes my the number and it would take 30-49 minutes. I need needed to call to place my orderand gave me a business card. As she is telling my this the owner is standing next to her giving me a very nasty looking and saying it was 3 tacos, I checked the camera, over and over....Well ma’am you are absolutely correct it was 3 tacos that I order a month ago and not 2 as I indicated in my original review. As a business owner your number 1 concern should be customer service. You getting mad because I gave an account of my experience does not remedy the fact the I am a dissatisfied customer. You shouldn’t of not get mad or attacks others about their opinion. I have been your customer for a long time. Long before you changed locations and hit bigger. Last night I was respectful and listen to you been upset with my review.I can back to give your business another chance as your food is good. No worries, I will not be back and I will now change my rating to a 1 star because of your behavior. I am quite applauded and disappointed in your behavior. Here in the south customs service is huge. It would behoove you to be a little more polite and not worry about if a review is correct on how many tacos they orders but satisfying the customer. It’s...
Read moreWe visited Chicken and Taco Loco hoping for a family-friendly dining experience, but instead left hurt, disappointed, and stunned by the staff’s complete lack of empathy and professionalism.
My children (ages 4 & 7), both of whom are on the autism spectrum, did not like the taste of the food we ordered — something not uncommon for kids with sensory sensitivities. In an effort to still allow them to eat comfortably while the rest of us dined, we brought in a medium size pizza from Pizza Hut.
The response we received from the manager was shockingly condescending and inconsiderate. Instead of treating us with understanding, they spoke to us with a dismissive and disrespectful tone, showing zero compassion for our children’s needs.
To make matters worse, nowhere on their menu, website, or anywhere inside the restaurant does it state that outside food is not allowed. Had we seen a clear policy, we would have addressed it beforehand. But instead of calmly explaining anything, the manager chose to shame us and escalate the situation unnecessarily.
When we attempted to escalate the issue, the owner came over and doubled down — no apology, no accountability, and no acknowledgment of how poorly the situation was handled. Just more defensiveness and blame.
This experience left us feeling unwelcome, judged, and deeply hurt. Families with children who have special needs deserve respect and kindness — not public embarrassment and cold indifference.
I strongly do not recommend this restaurant to any family, especially those with children who have unique needs. Chicken and Taco Loco needs serious training on empathy, inclusion, and basic...
Read moreCame here on a Thursday for a lunch date with my boyfriend. We ordered a pulled pork Gordita, a chicken torta, a ground beef torta, and a hot dog. First and foremost I will say that the food is good. Everything tasted seasoned, fresh, and homemade. It's cook to order and you can definitely tell when you're eating. Another really important factor for me and my boyfriend is the ability to modify. He's pretty picky and I'm not a fan of spicy food. So I love that I can leave stuff out or add something else.
I was originally only going to rate them 3 stars, but didn't want others to think the food is bad. Where they lose stars is from their timing which can be an extremely important factor for some people on time constraint and for people with medical problems that might need to find food quickly. It took about 40 minutes to get our food which is abnormally high for a food truck. It almost made the whole experience not worth it. My boyfriend was late returning to work. This is not the place to go when on a lunch break or time constraint. However, they do make up for at least 1 star because apparently they do call ahead ordering.
My only advice is a strong recommendation to start telling customers how long the wait might be when they order food. That way there is no built up frustration or thinking that you've been forgotten about like I did (People I saw coming after me were getting their...
