I went for the first time and I decided to get 8pc tenders almost $16. That alone should have made me leave and make a better decision. I wanted to see what the "hype" was about this place. I went in drive thru and was told that it would take 3 mins for tenders. I said that was fine. I pulled around and waited for about 5 mins. They were a little busy so I kind of understood. I got my order and left. I literally work 2 mins away. I open my food at my desk and bit into the chicken tender. I do not understand when I read the reviews and they said that it is great. My tenders tasted like straight fish nuggets. That made me so upset. After chewing it, I began to notice the consistency of the "meat" underneath the breading, and it seem so mushy and did not taste like real chicken to me. Just straight processed "Formerly" known as chicken substitute. (My opinion) I then call the restaurant and asked for a Mgr. I spoke with someone named "Christine". She sounded very chipper and I let her know about my experience. She offer compensation of coupons and such. I let her know that this would be my first and last time at Culver's. I would simply like my full refund. When I said that, her "chipperNESS" went down a notch and she proceeded to tell me about bringing the product back. I had already stated that I wanted to bring the product back, but she must have not heard me. I still wanted that excited warm voice she initially had when she answered my call, with eagerness to help. I guess asking for a refund became an issue. I was not going to let my $16 go for some weird tasting 8 pc "Formerly known as" tenders. She gave the excuse that when they get busy they use the "back rack" or back drop to cook the tenders. She did apologize and I let her know that I would be there after work to do a RETURN TO SENDER on these deep blue sea nuggets. Thanks but NO THANKS!
