My family has dined here many times before and said they loved the pizza but did warn me it's changed recently. They told me last time they were there, they mentioned it to the owner's son. He acknowledged they have made some changes but he told them to just request that he make the pizza, when they come back, and he would make it the old way. Ok simple enough (but why the change if you're just gonna take requests to make it the original way??)...Stick with me, it gets better. We went there last Wednesday, ordered 2 pizzas and requested that the owners son make them. The waitress agreed that the pizza was better the way they originally made it. She said the owner's son was training new hires but she'd have him make ours. Great! 1st pizza comes out and it looks fantastic!! She states she's not sure why our 2nd pizza isn't ready yet but she'll bring it out ASAP. (We found out after our pizza was given to another table so they had to remake it) We dig into the 1st pizza and it tastes awesome!! 2nd pizza comes out and it looks nothing like the 1st....nor does it taste good. We question if the owner's son made both of them and she states he only made the 1st one and didn't have time to make the 2nd one. I asked to speak to the manager simply to let them know that the 1st pizza was amazing and the 2nd not so much. Just for simple feedback. The waitress comes back and tells us he doesn't have time to come speak to us but we can get 10% off our bill. I didn't ask for anything off of our bill and I was willing to pay full price, I just simply wanted to give feedback. My mother goes to pay the bill up front and simply says, "it was us that was unhappy with the 2nd pizza". She wasn't rude, just small talk as she cashed out. He proceeds to throw her money back at her and tell her that he doesn't have time for this and that she can have her pizza for free and don't ever come back! WOW, we will never go back!! No worries there. This place has declined so much, not only on quality of food but now customer service as well. Horrible!! Don't waste your time going here. *Picture is of the not so good pizza.
**To the owner's...not sure you need to train new hires, cause you probably won't be in business for much longer if you keep...
Read moreThis was the worst experience we ever had at Sergio's, Zephyrhills Florida. We have been frequent diners and have had very little problems over the years. We dined tonight, I had Ziti w/Tomato Sauce and it was very good. My wife ordered Lasagna, it was terrible, the cheese tasted very sour. She ate some of the noodles after scraping off the sour tasting cheese (note: after bringing our food the waitress did not return to see if we needed anything) we sat for approximately 30 to 40 minutes before she returned and we told her that the Lasagna was not good at all that the cheese tasted very sour and she could only eat some of the noodles, she apologized and said she would take it to the owner but we should have said something earlier, I told her if you had returned after serving us we would have. She returned with the bill saying the owner said "she ate the noodles so he will not take it off the bill" and handed us the bill. I paid the bill and told her that we dined here often but because of his bad attitude we will never return. She walked away and apparently talked to the Owner and he said for us to see him on our way out. We stopped and he said, very sarcastically, why did she eat the noodles if it was so bad, he said we served many Lasagnas and no one else complained, we did not observe anyone else eating Lasagna. I told him that we would never return..he took a $20.00 bill out of the register and threw it at me. His BAD Attitude cost...
Read moreMy wife wanted to do Italian last night, 12/5/24, so we googled them and decided on Sergio’s. Our night started out with a 30-40 foot front window just getting finished being airbrushed with a beautiful Christmas scene. We go in, seat ourselves, and are met by one of the best servers we have ever had, Patty! Cheerful, talkative, and just very pleasant! We started out with some wine. We got a carafe of house white, Franzia, and it was huge for $13. Had at least 7-8 six ounce servings. My wife got the Fettuccine Alfredo and it was a whole plate with 3 slices of homemade bread and broccoli cheddar soup. My wife said it was the best Alfredo and soup she has had. $16. Now I got a medium Sergio’s special, about halfway down the pizza menu which is all the toppings of the pizzas above it as a “all the way” or “the works”. I had them change the meatballs to hot jalapeños. It was great, crust, amount of toppings, etc. That was $22, a large is $25. HUGE. For desert we got cannoli’s which were not too sweet, very crispy, just real good. $8. Now Patty came back a lot to check on us and when it was time to leave, she boxed all things left over since I was in a sling from a recent shoulder surgery. The food was hot, came out quick, and really good. Highly recommend and on Thursday-Saturday,...
