Spice Club Indian Grill in Fort Myers, Florida, is a culinary gem that offers an authentic taste of Indian cuisine. With a 4.5 out of 5 rating on TripAdvisor and a high rank among local restaurants this dining spot is a must-visit for both locals and tourists. The menu features a variety of dishes that cater to different dietary needs, including gluten-free, organic, vegetarian, and vegan options.

The restaurant's atmosphere is described as casual yet excellent, with a focus on Southern Indian flavors where coconut milk enriches the curries. The lunch buffet is a highlight, offering a selection of fragrant curries, tandoori chicken, and vegetable pakora, all at an affordable price. Dinner at Spice Club Indian Grill is equally impressive, with flaky-crisp vegetable samosas and fluffy biryani that's warmed by a deep, nuanced heat. This restaurant has shown resilience and continues to provide good flavors and friendly service. The staff is accommodating, and the restaurant is known for its efficient service and generous portions.

Spice Club Indian Grill is not just a restaurant; it's a culinary experience that brings the rich flavors of India to Fort Myers. With its diverse menu, excellent service, and commitment to quality, it's a dining destination that satisfies a wide range of palates and dietary preferences. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty meal or a light, vegan-friendly dish, Spice Club Indian Grill is the place to be.

After a lot of research, we decided to try Spice Club. One of the worst decisions ever!! The staff and owner were really nice (the 1 star I gave is because of their great hospitality), but I wish I could say the same for the food. Whenever we go to an Indian restaurant we stick with the regular order that helps us decide if we are going to go on a regular basis or not. Well, that is not happening with Spice Club; it was our first and final visit to this place.

We ordered a couple of dishes and everything was mediocre: For the appetizers, we started with chili chicken dry. It was one of the most disappointing chili chickens ever. The spices/masala were point on but not the chicken itself. The chicken was rubbery and extremely hard. This type of texture you get when the chicken has been double-fried a couple of hours ago and the chef just tosses it in the spices/masala when one places the order. Then came the lamb seekh kebab. We had one bite and just sent it back. I don't know how they can be proud to serve a seekh kebab with a hamburger texture. It felt like eating a hamburger in a kebab form. A seekh kebab has a mincemeat texture and is not mushy meat. For the mains, we ordered butter chicken, saag paneer, and aloo gobi. I am a butter chicken lover and never have I ever spent time searching for curry in the butter chicken. It was loaded with colored chicken pieces (not sure why certain restaurants like to add color to their chicken? Let the meat speak for itself) and the curry was nowhere to be found. We had to ask for a side curry order just so we can enjoy rice and some curry. Saag paneer was decent. We asked for a medium one; medium means a medium level of spice and not a medium level of salt. Low salt made this dish just ok. Aloo gobi - who serves aloo gobi with almost raw aloos (potatoes). The potatoes were not cooked for long. Garlic naan and butter naan were awesome! We really enjoyed the naans.

The whole food experience was so bad that we decided to skip dessert. Like I mentioned earlier, the owner and the staff were really nice, but niceness does not equal great food. One advise for the owner - PLEASE GET RID...

We went to Spice Club a few years ago and loved it, but then COVID put a crimp on our dining-out experiences. So, when our anniversary rolled around last week, we decided to go there because we'd enjoyed it so much before. But these days, my husband has some dietary restrictions and a health issue, so he phoned ahead to see if there were options for him... and there were!

When we got to the restaurant we were greeted warmly by the staff, and enticingly by the wonderful smells of Indian food. We were seated, and when my husband mentioned his issues, the server asked if he'd been the one to call. So, right from the start we were impressed with their consideration and attention to his needs. There were four or five dishes that he could eat, and he chose the yellow dal. They also made him a garlic naan without butter. Not having such restrictions, I ordered the veg samosas, onion naan, and chicken biryani. Everything was fantastic - best meal we've had all year. I've never had a better veg samosa, and I'm still dreaming about that biryani! And, everything was fairly healthy, so we both felt good about eating it. I topped my meal off with a mango lassi, which was not only delicious, it saved my mouth when I tried a bite of the dal (he ordered it spicy - not for the faint of heart!) which made my eyes water, in a good way. Delicious, but really hot.

Between the careful consideration of my hubs' dietary needs, the friendliness and attentiveness of the servers, cooks, and hosts, and the unbelievably tasty food, Spice Club played a big role in making our anniversary night out really special. Beyond all that, their prices are really reasonable, especially for the quality fare you get for your money.

Now I'm recommending Spice Club to everyone I know, from carnivores to vegans, and everyone in between. If you crave Indian food, this is the best place in Southwest Florida to find it! We will definitely be back soon. Thank you so much, Spice Club, not just for the great meal, but also for the...

2nd review 8/14/2024: My friends and I came here again to celebrate another birthday. Sebastian was our server again, and we again ordered a variety of dishes to share: mango chicken, chicken madras, and tikka masala, plus the onion appetizer and the shrimp appetizer. Again, all was delicious, the service was great, and we each took home a container of food. Always a great choice for yummy Indian food! ... May, 2024: We celebrated my birthday here yesterday, and it was fantastic! We got 3 different dishes and naan bread and shared it, which was so much fun. The mango chicken was delicious, and the one we dipped into for seconds. We also got the madras chicken and the vegetable balls, which were tender and tasty. Everything was superb (okay, the rice was a little clumpy but still good). The server was great, and he even brought tiny desserts for my birthday celebration. Don't let the lack of patrons (at lunch anyway) scare you--this place has consistently been above par.
