Taqueria My Ranchito — Restaurant in Florida

The atmosphere here seems ok, is a little local restaurant that looks pretty to the eye. I came 2 weeks ago on the bus and we sat at the table and we were served chips and salsa, this time 2 weeks later they told me I needed to come order at the front and get in line with a stupid attitude. They said it would be much faster and there’s only 3 people riding the bus. I got up and ordered and those ladies are rude, treat people like they are stupid and they are smart which they are not because if they want a tip then earn it and be nice and kind. Now because we are the people that come in the bus we don’t deserve to sit and get chips and salsa and be treated like everyone else? I ordered enchiladas with a slide of “carne asada” and this was not a real carne asada more like a paper thin piece of bistec. The enchiladas I couldn’t eat, the flavor of the tortilla was nasty and off probably the yellow kind. The chicken inside was shredded boiled chicken with no color or flavor whatsoever. I don’t understand the good reviews to be honest, I ordered 2 enchiladas for my daughter and they brought 1 quesadilla! I was extremely angry at this point, they focus on if the costumer is up to their standards to treat them a certain way than focusing on doing their job right. 2 weeks ago my daughter was shocking here and threw up and that day I apologized and the lady couldn’t even say anything back because she got angry, like what! My daughter is 3! I will continue traveling back and forth on this bus and I will not go in here ever again! Too expensive and not once we ever liked the food except for rice and beans those are good enough. Seems people are used to eating average food that they think this food is good. I payed over $42 for enchiladas, 4 tacos, 1 quesadilla kids plate and a jarrito and nothing was good. The tacos are small with small portions and they barely put cilantro the lady said if I wanted lettuce and tomato and I said you put that as well inside the taco and with a f attitude she said Yes that’s why I am asking you! Like what! Am I missing something here? What’s up with your attitude!!! Not good for costumer service lady go work in the back if you gonna act like that with paying customers!! Never once did I see a male name Rafael there to respond as if he was there. There was no resolution to anything as you mentioned we have 30 minutes to sit and eat so no time to change anything. Ladies are not kind nor did my apology was accepted when my child had the incident. Learn kindness and learn to accept criticism and make better changes instead of arguing about a situation you weren’t there. Walked in: Was greeted and told to sit anywhere I liked.

Came in the evening, and blinds on the front windows would help about half the people in the restaurant who are facing the windows see.

In looking at the menu (which should have been retired a long time ago), gives an impression of a struggling restaurant that is trying to make sure they get money from their customers. Warnings about splitting meals and extra expenses, to the menu telling you that you have to have an order in before they will bring you one complimentary basket. It speaks of a cheapness to the owners. I ordered and was quickly brought ships and salsa. Two of the salsas that were brought out where ok, and one wasn’t great. The chips were floor chips - nice touch. But were cold. Not just room temperature. Disappointing.

Meal comes. I ordered enchiladas. The “complimentary side order of lettuce and tomato” that the menu said came with each plate as the garnish that must Mexican restaurants put on their plates and don’t advertise it.

The chicken enchiladas were good. A good seasoning to the chicken. The sauce that was on top was very runny and could have been reduced a bit more so it didn’t run everywhere.

Beans and rice were good also.

The only reason I'm giving this place a 3 star is because they really need to upgrade into a bigger restaurant. They are always full of people and I get it, they have some delicious meals! 👍☺️ They do however have national charter busses stop and unload many people to eat and rest here. So with the already full restaurant and the more than 20 bus riders, this place is terribly crowded 😒. They only have one restroom for women,one for males and one unisex, there's always a line of more than 5 people per restrooms.
