This was our first time at this lovely, beach themed, trendy restaurant. The bar staff is friendly and the wine and beer choices we ordered were great. We didn't make a reservation but were seated at our table pretty quickly, along with another couple, under the tropical tiki roof outside. It was a Friday evening so there was live entertainment right in that room. It made it a little hard to have a conversation but we managed. There are also larger community tables if you prefer to sit with strangers when there are no other tables available.
The food was wonderful...the four of us all ordered different things...I had the Havana Banana Mahi which was delicious and shared a Caesar salad with my husband. It had one of the best Caesar dressings I've ever had. The entire menu is creative and reasonably priced and the staff is attentive and friendly.
The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is for these reasons. As soon as we were all seated at the table, we were asked that we not spend more that 1-1/2 at the table. We usually don't spend more than this amount of time dining anyway, but we were all surprised to be informed of this. The other minor thing was that they don't do separate checks. This is the first restaurant that we've encountered this at. Not a biggie but surprising.
All in all, it wouldn't stop us or our friends from returning and we wish Taylor Beach House Cafe lots of success as they've only been opened...
Read moreWe joined our daughter in law and our two young grandsons here for an early dinner. We opted to sit 'outside' under the thatched roof. As luck would have it, the guys playing live that night were setting up and doing sound checks, which thankfully fascinated our 4 and 7 year olds. Our server was great and worked with us on the flat bread marinara pizza the boys ate for dinner. My adult companions had the coconut shrimp appetizer, and a shrimp flat bread. I opted for the Jamaican Jerk wrap with a side of rice and beans. They serve wine and beer so I opted for a glass of Prosecco. The atmosphere is upscale beach chic. Relaxing and enjoyable. The food is presented very nicely. The boys enjoyed their flatbread pizza, our daughter in law enjoyed her shrimp flatbread. I thought they did a great job on my Jamaican Jerk wrap. By far, a lot of food. The coconut shrimp was the only disappointment. As my partner said, the shrimp were good but he couldn't taste any coconut. It was also a small serving for the price. Would I go back? Hell yeah. Staff was great. Live music was great. Great fun place. Now while I said we took 2 young kids with us, and they do have a kids menu, I would suggest bringing older kids. We went early so the outside seating area had only one other table full when we arrived..but the place was rocking...
Read moreFirst time visiting. Came for dinner with my boyfriend and sat outside. It had a nice breeze, especially with the fans. Atmosphere is beautiful when you walk in is something like a thatch roof area with tons of seating and a stage area and two big screen tvs. The waitress, Janine, was absolutely absorbable, very helpful and knew what she was doing for sure. We started with our drinks and he got the pineapple cream soda, AMAZING!!!!! I tried the Beach house sunset, which was actually pretty tasty itself! We then ordered the calamari for appetizer which was cooked perfectly nice and golden brown served with a lemon and marinara. For dinner, we ordered the Fra Diovlo. Extra spicy and very delicious! Since we’re local, this will definitely be our place go for it. Dessert was finished with this UNBELIEVABLY SCRUMPTIOUS PEANUT BUTTER PIE! 🥧 Ohh wow! Yea will definitely...
