I used to LOVE Beef O'Brady's but my last visit was so disappointing. We went in National Wing Day because I got an email from them about BOGO wings.
Our order was not correct. Just minor things like curly fries instead of straight fries. Forgot our drinks. We didn't mention those things.
But what we did mention was the chicken fingers being overcooked and cold.
We also got an order of 6 wings but everyone ordered 10. I didn't even see 6 on the menu. We asked the server and the manager about why we got 6 and getting a different sauce. We got the spicy garlic, which was super spicy!!!
The Manager offered to send an order of lemon peppers wings instead. But again, we just got 6 wings?😒
The lemon pepper wings never disappoint and were delicious.
When we got our check, it was all wonky. There were two different prices for 10 wings. 2 orders of 6 wings. And no reflection of the BOGO wings.
We asked the server for clarification on why the prices were different and explained we didn't order 6 wings, much less two orders. She picked up one basket of the overcooked boneless wings and the first basket of 6 wings that weren't eaten. Both baskets were picked up from the server. The baskets were stacked but I don't think she realized she picked up two baskets of food to go back to the kitchen.
She didn't seem to understand my question and got flustered and said she would get the Manager.
We have her our military card and she brought the check back with a .71 discount. She took the discount off of one of the two 6 wings baskets. I thought that was odd since we normally get a discount on the whole check, so I figured maybe their policy changed with COVID, so I just asked if they don't discount the whole check anymore and she said it was just the person's meal. Which according to our server would have been TWO orders of 6 wings, the one we ate and the one we sent back. I checked their website later and it said they do honor military discounts and it is off the whole bill.
In retrospect, I think the deals that were ring up were incorrect as Wing Wednesday deals. That's what I was trying to explain to her even by showing the email from Beef O'Bradys.
The server was about done with us at this point. At no point was I negative or combative. I was just confused and trying to understand why the bill was charged the way it was
The server said, "Are you really complaining over all this food you got? It was just $40!"
No one should feel it's ok to be demeaning and condescending to any customer ever!
Really. That's how you respond. These are pretty basic questions. I understand her frustration but we are only asking to understand.
She said she had to help another table and left our table to visit the table behind us where she decided it was a good idea to talk about us being difficult.
I understand that this wasn't the Four Season fine dining but customer service is just that. The service industry has taken such a hit with COVID, you would think you would deliver great service to the customers that are leaving the safety of their homes to give their money to your establishment.
I left I note for the manager and a small tip that represented the quality of service I feel we received, which was incredibly poor.
I hope they take my experience and strive to deliver better service but I will not be returning to this Beef...
Read moreI am sharing this experience my daughter, her finance and their friends experienced tonight. They met up at the newly opened Brass Tap on Sunlake Blvd in Lutz and one of the guys ordered an alcoholic drink. The waitress asked for his ID and I can vouch that they all are over 21. She looked at his ID and went and ordered his drink while the others were figuring out what they wanted. She returned for the additional drink orders and my daughter’s fiancé saw on the menu they have a drink of the week. He asked what it was and she replied with we don’t have one (? Odd that it said that on the menu). He said he wanted a crown royal on the rocks and she had no clue what on the rocks meant. Again strange. She asked for his ID and stood staring for a long time at it. He asked her if everything was ok and she said she was trying to figure out the dates. Sad because he was born in 2000. Not very difficult to figure out he is 24. She then asked the guy that she had already ordered a drink for to see his ID again. Saying nothing she walked off with his ID and took it to another co-worker which ended up being the manager. She came back and told him she could not serve him alcohol after all because his extra small pic on his license cut his neck off some. Everyone at the table pulled out their ID’s to look at theirs and they all looked the same. They looked over at the manager thinking she might come over and she just threw her hands up like there was nothing she could do and didn’t even bother to come to the table and talk to them. My daughter even asked if they had a scanner to scan the ID to verify it is real and was told they do not. They decided this was not a place they wanted to give their business to which I totally agree with so they left and went somewhere else. Sadly there were six of them and this new place could have made some business but instead ran their customers off. After hearing this I will not be going to this establishment and will recommend others not either. I realize they just opened recently but running customers out is going to shut down that business real quick. And having a server that doesn’t have a clue about their specials, can’t figure out the age of someone born in 2000 and not having a clue what on the rocks is, is bad business. Hope no one else has this type of...
Read moreI decided to take my family to Beef’s for dinner tonight and I honestly regret this choice. First, they advertised $3 drafts for happy hour (until 6:30 PM) so we decided to get two Miller Lights. The server then informed us that his manager told him we couldn’t do Millers for Happy Hour, so we asked for Bud Light. The server came back and said his manager told him we can’t do Bud light either. He informed us the ONLY beer we could have for happy hour was Yuengling, Busch Light, or some IPA they had. So that’s a total of 3 beers to choose from. Lol what a joke. A pitcher of Miller was $14 (which we ended up getting).
Our food was hot and fresh, which was definitely nice, but the fries tasted like they had been cooked in the same grease that fish had been cooked in - so that wasn’t a pleasant surprise at all. I had a burger and it was good. Cooked fresh and not soggy. I wasn’t asked how I wanted it cooked, which was fine because it came out medium well (some parts were a little more medium).
Our server was very nice. He seemed to be the only person working the floor though. We watched him go from running food, to sweeping the dining room, and then back to taking orders. He was definitely working for his pay check. I’m not sure who is in charge of cleaning the bathrooms, but try to avoid them at all costs if you can! The bathroom was GROSS! It stinks really badly like mildew washcloths and you can tell they haven’t been cleaned in quite a while. Even the sinks were dirty with hair and grime. How hard is it to clean a sink??
All in all, I can’t say this was a very pleasant experience. The food was subpar, the happy hour isn’t worth it, and the place was super dirty. We will just opt for a different...
