The Cove — Restaurant in Florida

Our daughter arranged a dinner cruise on the Sanibel Harbour Princess Yacht--for all 10 of us!! I had read someone's unfavorable review online and wasn't expecting much. Pre-dinner appetizers and drinks were available on the upper deck. My mother-in-law has limited mobility but we were invited to sit in the dining room for appetizers instead of having her go up stairs. The dining room was set up very nicely, and was attended by very helpful servers. We've cruised quite a bit so our standards tend to be high. We all were pleasantly surprised. The boat was well-tended and very clean. The ride around the surrounding islands was relaxing. Though very hot outside, the air conditioning inside was welcome. Took the family for the Mothers Day brunch, what a disappoint. The AC worked intermittently, a problem they were already aware of, on a 92 degree day. The boarding process was disorganized at best, as there was no one place to check in. The computers on the boat broke so after the cruise we all got to stand in line in the bar to pay. The food was not bad. Most of the staff was nice but one older lady had an attitude like we were sheep, not guests. The experience falls far short...

We booked this dinner cruise while on vacation for our anniversary. It was a last minute idea, but I am so glad we did! The Marriott hotel is beautiful, I wish we would have gotten there early so we could enjoy that a little longer. The staff, food, and entire dinner cruise experience was phenomenal.
