This establishment treated us terribly and we felt racially profiled. We were a party of 5 looking for a place to enjoy our friends birthday during our trip to Key Largo. My boyfriend went inside and asked a waitress or hostess (not sure what she was) for a table for our party and she said she couldn’t tell us how long the wait is but said 20-30 minutes. She seemed VERY uninterested in doing her job and didn’t even ask for a phone number to contact us. So we went back inside about 15 minutes later to ask how it’s looking since they have no way to contact us, and another really nice waitress took our phone number and name down and told us it would be ready soon. So finally, we got a call about 20 minutes later and they say they are going to seat us. All they do is tell us it’s the table outside in the corner, don’t actually seat us, don’t give us menus, the outside is completely empty, and it’s 90 degrees outside. So we ask if it’s possible we can seat inside instead and the rude waitress says she’s giving the table to a party of 5 that came WAYYY after us. We were confused at why that is and she said okay okay and insinuated she was going to give us the table so we wait some more. Next thing you know, the WHITE family of 5 gets sat and so we felt disappointed and were not treated like customers and told them to not worry about and that we were taking our business elsewhere. I wish I could tell you how the food was but that opportunity wasn’t giving to us. If you are a person of color, I don’t recommend. Such a shame.

The Hideout: A Sunrise Spectacle with a Side of Scrumptiousness! Oh man, where do I even start? The Hideout is my new breakfast obsession – perched right on the water with views that make you feel like you're in a postcard! We timed our visit for sunrise, and let me tell you, watching that golden glow rise over the waves while sipping coffee? Pure magic. It's like Mother Nature's own light show! The food? Absolute fire! The Philly steak omelet was stuffed to the brim with juicy steak, melty cheese, and all the fixings – fluffy perfection. Those jalapeño poppers? Crispy, spicy, and dangerously addictive. And don't get me started on the "Full-On Sunrise" – it's like they bottled the dawn and turned it into a flavor explosion!Shoutout to our waiter Zach, who was an absolute rockstar – friendly, efficient, and kept the vibes high. And Gabe? Your recommendations were spot-on; we devoured every suggestion! We'll be back ASAP – if you're craving epic eats with unbeatable views, run, don't walk, to The Hideout. 5 stars all the way!

Stopped here for breakfast on our way into the Keys at 11am, the name speaks for itself as it was certainly off the main road and a little hideout among residential houses. But quite a little jem of a find with its delicious food and partial.ocean views. We ordered the biscuits with Gravy, corn hash with eggs and 2 portions of sausages on the side. Their gravy was plentiful, creamy and mild over extremely light and fluffy tasting biscuits which resembled scones. The hash was crispy and right balance of meat and potatoes but just a bit too salty. The sausages were not the tiny links most diners serve, instead they were thick meaty proper sausages and very tasty, esp with the eggs and biscuits. We added One pancake as dessert and it was the size of our dinner plate yet perfectly fluffy, and buttery. Highly recommend this little hideout of a place, great food, very friendly service and reasonable pricing.

Key Largo’s Best-Kept Secret for Breakfast Bliss

Tucked away just off the main drag in Key Largo, there’s a little breakfast spot that doesn’t shout for attention—but once you find it, you’ll never forget it. This cozy breakfast house is the kind of place locals try to keep to themselves, and for good reason: the food is unreal.

From the moment you walk in, the vibe is laid-back Keys charm—bright, breezy, and welcoming. The coffee is strong and smooth (they know how to brew it right), and the smell of sizzling bacon and baked goods hits you like a warm hug.

But let’s talk about the food. The crab cake Benedict is out-of-this-world good—fresh, buttery crab with perfectly poached eggs and a tangy hollandaise that tastes homemade. The French toast is something you didn’t know you needed in your life—light, citrusy, and topped with a hint of powdered sugar and fresh berries. Even the classics like scrambled eggs, hash browns, corn beef hash and pancakes are done right—crispy edges, fluffy centers, and clearly made with care.

The service? Friendly, fast, and the kind where the server remembers your name and your coffee order after just one visit.

It’s the kind of place where time slows down, and breakfast feels like a treat instead of a routine. Whether you’re heading out for a day on the water or just looking for a peaceful start to your morning, this hidden gem is the perfect spot.

Fair warning: once you eat here, you’ll start planning your mornings around it. The best breakfast in Key Largo? Without question. Just don’t tell too many people—we’d like to keep this secret safe a...

Heading home on Monday from the wedding weekend we needed breakfast and my daughter chose the Hideout Restaurant. Not too hard to find and just what we wanted for our last meal in the Keys. This place is a hidden gem, at the end of the road with views of a large bay that the Atlantic Ocean is not too far from. Not a fancy place by any means but it calls you to come in and sit down, relax and enjoy very good food with great views. We sat inside with a view of the water. Our server was with us quickly with a large pot of coffee and menus. We all perused the menus and the specials on the giant blackboard. Three of us chose daily breakfast specials while my future son in law chose the lobster benedict. We enjoyed our coffee and the views both outside and inside (lots of really cool vintage signs) with our meals coming pretty quick, all hot and enveloping our table with the flavors of the various foods. The lobster benedict was rich, creamy and very tasty, while all the egg items were cooked just as ordered along with waffles, pancakes, sausage and bacon. We took our time enjoying these very nice meals and happy so there were no leftovers given how good all of it was. We will be sure to tell all of our friends who live in SoFla to try this place and anyone we know who travel to the Keys will hear us praise this place. I myself look forward to our next visit and plan to be there for dinner on Friday night to enjoy of their many different all you can...
