Welcome Pizza Press, Hamlin Town Center's newest restaurant, pizza place and beer bar! Located near the Hamlin Groves Dental Care office and closest to the intersection, it'll be open 7 days a week at 11am for lunch and close at 11 Monday-Thursday and midnight Friday thru Sunday. Upon entering, you're met by the friendly waitstaff at the pizza press where your pizza dough is cleanly pressed into shape. Multiple different sauces are available, including regular marinara, spicy marinara and alfredo. Then, choose from caramelized onions, sundried tomatoes, and 2 types of garlic. A nice variety of meats, cheeses and vegetables are available, including Italian sausage, chevre cheese, artichoke hearts, and chunky blue cheese. Once it is placed on the oven rack, select from a variety of the 24 local craft beers on tap. Flights are available, too. After the pizza is done, another variety of "Editorials" can be added to your pie, including basil leaves, arugula, balsamic glaze, BBQ sauce, sriracha and more! Multiple TVs surround the restaurant and there are other items to enjoy include, subs, wings, salads and cookies. The location is on the Publix side of New Independence Parkway and Hamlin Groves Trail. Grand opening is set for April 12, 2019!

I recently visited The Pizza Press and had a mixed experience worth sharing. First, the positives: the food was quite good! The pizza was flavorful and well-cooked, and the wings stood out with their perfectly balanced seasoning and crispiness. It’s clear that the kitchen knows what they’re doing, and the quality of the ingredients really shone through. However, the service left much to be desired. While ordering, the staff seemed disengaged and uninterested. They didn’t make eye contact or offer much interaction, which made the experience feel impersonal. Additionally, I noticed several employees resting their arms on the preparation table, which was concerning from both a hygiene and professionalism standpoint. This location has great potential due to its food quality, but a little extra attention to customer service and food-handling practices could make a huge difference. Friendly, attentive staff and a focus on cleanliness would elevate the overall dining experience. I’d recommend giving The Pizza Press a try for the food but hope they address these issues to make the visit truly enjoyable for everyone.

I am a person who always makes good reviews if I like the food and the place! It is unfortunate that it is important to instruct the places too! First and foremost, the establishment does not comply with the regulations for signs outside indicating whether dogs are allowed or not! Fortunately, my dog is a service dog, but establishments must place the signs! By not having them, it can be interpreted that they are accepted! Now, the staff must always try to be kind when asking things and today two of the employees spoke to me rudely about the fact that I had my service dog with me! Due to a personal problem, she could not walk, but she is still my service dog! BE CAREFUL: THE LAW SAYS THAT NO ONE CAN ASK YOU FOR DOCUMENTATION, they are only allowed to ask you the nature of the disability, that is! I HOPE YOU CAN INFORM AND INSTRUCT BETTER ABOUT THIS SOLUTION! I will not recommend it to my friends here from HAMLIN COMUNITY because of this inconvenience. Please, if you have service dogs! This is not a good place to go. Many of us need a service dog and it is basically a rejection of ourselves.

The pizza was good but that was about it. It was like the employees were on a different planet. Myself and my friend had to repeat our order to the girl making our pizza multiple times. She kept looking at the door for some reason and I could tell she clearly wasn’t listening to us. Once the pizza went through the oven you can choose additional toppings. I asked the girl doing that part if they had oregano and she had to ask someone else who said they didn’t, which was confusing to me that a pizza restaurant wouldn’t have oregano. Turns out there is oregano but it’s on the tables but clearly they had no idea. I asked for basil and balsamic glaze on top. She put the basil on and then just stared at me. I had to repeat that I wanted balsamic glaze. It’s not that difficult to remember two things. She rings me up and then hands me my receipt and tells me to have a nice day.... my pizza is still sitting next to her behind the case and I had to remind her to hand it to me. Meanwhile there was a line building up behind me and a worker standing at the next cash register just standing there. Not ringing up anyone or calling for the next customer to come pay. Just standing there. I went to walk outside to sit down, I had my hands full with a pizza in one hand and a drink in the other. An employee is walking in at the same time and just opens the door for himself, walks in, and lets the door close behind him, like in my face. We also had a worker come outside with a trash bag and put it down by the door and walk away, meanwhile trash juice is leaking underneath our table. There also should be trash cans outside. I heard multiple other customers experiencing issues as well like workers forgetting to put their orders in the oven. I also witnessed workers make fun of a customer who was upset with them after she had walked away. I don’t know I’m what world that is acceptable. If you want to make fun of customers, that’s fine, everyone in customer service does that but don’t do it in front of other customers. I literally felt like I was in a different universe or on a prank show when I was in there. I just cannot get over how laughably bad the customer service was in there. They also randomly closed for an hour while we were there and put computer paper signs on the door saying they would reopen in an hour. It was...

The pizza here is usually really good and I’ve been getting pizza here since it opened. Meaning this review is based on multiple visits and interactions. Writing this to hopefully see some change. The reason I gave it a low rating was because their service and attention to detail. 1. It’s always full of staff behind the counter but not efficient at all, also not all that friendly. Most, but not all, staff always look annoyed and like they’re ready to go home. There are a few that I hope I get when I walk in though, full of great energy, so kudos. 2. To be honest, I’ve never really seen a prominent manager organizing the chaos. 3. I don’t think any of them have ever taken a food safety course. So many times I’ve seen people pick stuff off the floor/non-sanitized area and not wash their hands/change gloves and go to make my pizza then had to ASK them to do so. I’ve also seen staff sneeze/cough and not change gloves and wash their hands. 4. Online orders are usually never right no matter how BOLD I make the notes to remind them as the mobile app and web order selections don’t have all the same options. Also, for mobile order pickup, there’s no organization in store and usually get ignored until you happen to flag someone down in all the chaos. Again, this is not over one experience, but over the span since their opening. Hoping management can figure something out to make it a...

So sad to write this review. My husband and I stopped in for a late dinner. We arrived at 8:40pm. We were unaware of the 9:00pm closing time. When we walked into the place we were not acknowledged at all. As a matter a fact the gentleman at the counter turned his back to us for a couple of minutes as if we weren't even standing there. I whispered to my husband, "Did he not see us come in?" Finally he asked what we wanted. He was smug and you could clearly tell he didn't want us there. My husband tried to lighten the mood by saying, "You look happy to be here." He didn't get it. He just smirked and made a noise of some sort as if to say, "No, I do not want to be here."

As we moved down to pay we asked who the manager was. Oddly enough it was the guy who did not want us there.

We ordered a simple pizza and the garlic cheese bread. It was ok; I would order it again. Funny thing is it was ready in minutes. On our table before 9pm. We were actually almost finished at 9. I am aware of the time because promptly at 9 they turned on very loud music in the kitchen. It was like a battle between the house music and the kitchen. Like they were saying ok, it's 9 o'clock get out.

I wish I could say I would go back and take friends; it's a cool place. But after the poor customer service from the manager, I doubt we...
