Alright, so hereâs the update on my experience with Maple Street Biscuit Company in Winter Garden. If you saw my original review, you know my first visit didnât go as plannedâI walked in excited for their Country Fried Steak, only to find out (at the register) that itâs no longer available, even though itâs still listed all over the menu. That was frustrating enough for me to walk out without ordering.
But hereâs where things turned around. Tia, the manager, personally reached out to me after my review. She acknowledged the issue, explained the menu change, and even invited me back to try her favoriteâCarne Asada Benedictâon the house. So today, I decided to give them another shot.
Tia wasnât in, but she told me to ask for Julie, and let me tell youâJulie made the experience. She was fun, engaging, and went all out to make sure I had a great time. Was it a little over the top? Sure. But in the best way. You could tell she genuinely cared about making things right and ensuring I left happy.
The food? Solid. The Carne Asada Benedict was decent, but what really stood out was the level of service and the way they handled the situation. They truly care about their restaurant and how theyâre viewed, which speaks volumes.
So, while my first visit was frustrating, the way they recovered and the service I received today made all the difference. Because of that, Iâm giving them five stars. If youâre looking for a place that values its guests and will go the extra mile, Maple Street in Winter Garden is worth a visit. Just maybe check first to see if the menu has...
Read moreWe went to Maple Street Biscuit Company in Winter Garden around noon, and honestly, it was not a good experience. The place was practically empty (only two other people there), yet it still took about five minutes for any employee to come over and take our order, they were standing about 10 feet away just chatting with one another.
Once we finally ordered, it took over 25 minutes for our food to come out. When it did, the biscuits were cold and hard as rocks (they couldâve been used as weapons), and the chicken was dry and crusty. Definitely not worth the wait.
To make things worse, toward the back of the restaurant there was a pile of dirty little kidsâ shoes just lying on the floor near a back door. Super unappetizing and confusing, why are there dirty shoes on the floor in a restaurant?
Overall, the food was bad, the service was terrible, and the place just felt unclean. Almost all of the tables were dirty with trash/food left on them so we only had about 3 seats to pick from as no one had cleaned.
I wasnât even going to leave a review, but then I noticed theyâre paying Disney influencers to hype the place up online. This place has nothing to do with Disney, nor is it close to the Disney bubble that tourists are in, and it feels like theyâre relying on that kind of marketing because us locals wonât go back after experiencing how bad...
Read moreWe were excited to try this store located in Winter Garden, Fl., since it just opened, and we had previously been to another store in Celebration. The experience was just as good.
It's a warm vibe with unique food. The store is spacious and clean. There's seating inside and outside. The staff was friendly.
After ordering, we sat down and waited for our order. We liked being able to see them making the biscuits and other dishes.
I got an orange juice which I was also able to watch them make, putting real oranges into a juicer. My wife got a caramel toffee crunch coffee, which had caramel toffee sprinkled on top of whipped cream.
I got the Squawking Goat, which was a biscuit with fried chicken, goat cheese, and covered with their pepper jelly. The sweetness and spice of the jelly paired really well with the taste of the goat cheese.
My wife got a fritaffle, which is an omelet, cooked in a waffle iron, and smashbrowns.
We've had other dishes in the past, including their waffles, maple bacon, potatoes, and biscuits and gravy. I'm not even really a fan of grits, but I like theirs. I'm still not sure what my favorite dish is.
Maple Street is one of our favorite restaurants for brunch. We highly...
